Not expecting yet, but the husband and I have been talking and trying to decide if we will TTC a fourth child, and I realized in the course of our recent conversation that my boys’ list isn’t all that long, and feels a little stale. We knew [name_m]Asher[/name_m]‘s name before he was even conceived back in 2007, and with the next two being girls, we haven’t seriously looked at boys’ names in a while.
Here’s the current “long” list (which is only about a third the length of the girls’ long list):
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_u]Asa[/name_u]
[name_m]Axel[/name_m]
[name_m]Duncan[/name_m]
[name_m]Elihu[/name_m]
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_u]Joss[/name_u]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Julius[/name_m]
[name_u]Keegan[/name_u]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] (this was our “backup” for [name_m]Asher[/name_m])
Renly (kind of a GP)
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_m]Stellan[/name_m]
[name_m]Sylvan[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
A lot of these have increased even further in popularity since ‘07, so I’d like some opinions and fresh ideas. All three kids’ names are in my signature. One thing I think would be kinda cool to do is incorporate a “sh” sound and have an M-name for the middle, since our daughters both have “ette” sounds and S-names in the middle.
Give me what you’ve got.
[name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_m]Axel[/name_m] are all a bit too matchy, especially [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is a little too close to [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] with the double T ending.
From your list I love…
[name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_f]Bettina[/name_f], [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_f]Bettina[/name_f], [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] and [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]

I’m of Scandinavian descent and have a couple Axels back in my family tree, so for me it’s a heritage name and not a trend name. Thanks for your comments.
@freddiethepink - I really like [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. Thanks!
@lovemysweeties - I love [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], can’t believe I forgot about that one. [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] are cool, too.
