Reinstating Logan?

For a while now, I have kind of tossed [name_u]Logan[/name_u] aside, favouring [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] and [name_m]Conway[/name_m] over the more popular [name_u]Logan[/name_u]. That being said, today I remembered an anecdote my aunt shared with me, about a sweet little boy named [name_u]Logan[/name_u] who was visiting his grandmother in the same hospital room my aunt was in. My aunt died a few months ago and I just remember her having such a positive association with the name. It’s one of my favourite characters names and a family name as well on my maternal side; but the connection with my aunt is more important.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think despite it’s popularity it’s still usable?

I definitely don’t think popularity makes a name unusable. If that were the case, names wouldn’t be popular for a long time. [name_u]Logan[/name_u] isn’t particularly popular where I live, but popularity is just a matter of whether it bothers you or not.

If it helps, I’ve never actually met a [name_u]Logan[/name_u] and I don’t think popularity makes a name unusuable, especially since it’s one that’s so special too you

I only know of 2 Logans. It’s not as popular as you may think. I think the positive story of the name is such a perfect fit for you. I really wouldn’t let the thought of popularity tarnish it. [name_u]Logan[/name_u] is a good strong name and it will age so well. I love it

I definitely prefer the more uncommon names, and would use [name_u]Logan[/name_u] as his middle name. Since you also usually prefer uncommon names, I don’t have to explain why. But honor names are a complicated thing, and there’s not one right answer. It’s about what feels right to you. Good luck!

In my opinion, if [name_u]Logan[/name_u] is meaningful to you that far outweighs the fact that he night run into another [name_u]Logan[/name_u] from time to time. I really like the name [name_u]Logan[/name_u]. Good luck.
