Renaming a friend

[name]Hi[/name] all! I’ve been a nameberry fan for a while, infrequently posting. I figure my first naming “assingment” would be a great time to get into the mssage boards.

So here’s the deal: I have a friend named [name]Madelyn[/name] [name]Jade[/name], who has always gone by [name]Jade[/name]. She is a compleate tomboy, finding her first name too girly. She has recently decided that she wants to change her name, putting [name]Jade[/name] as her first and having no middle name. I begged and begged for her to let me choose one, and she finally gave in. Here is a list on some of my ideas…

[name]Jade[/name] [name]Dylan[/name]
[name]Jade[/name] [name]Clemency[/name]
[name]Jade[/name] [name]Vera[/name]
[name]Jade[/name] Azelea

She wants something fairly unisex, different but not unknow. She also has a hard last name, one syllable sarting with S and ending with B.

Any thoughts? Comments? Ideas?

You really may want to reconsider the middle name [name]Clemency[/name] since it sounds the meaning (being lenient on punishment) seems to be its undoing.

I’d like to know how many syllables are in the S last name? I’d totally balance the one syllable name [name]Jade[/name] with something longer. I’d strive for a 1-3-2, 1-2-3, or even 1-4-3 to keep the rhythm from being repetitive. Also, I’d pass on any vowel middle names since the initials would spell something (no to [name]JAS[/name], JIS, etc).

One syllable last name— but she has her heart set on jade and they sound perfect together. BTW her gfavorite from the list is [name]Jade[/name] [name]Dylan[/name], any other ideas along those lines?
