Renaming Marjorie

[name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] Klassen is meant to be a strong, intelligent teen girl, who chases tail at her all girls boarding school who ends up falling in love with both her straight best friend and very closeted russian exchange student friend. The supporting cast has names such as [name_f]Margret[/name_f], [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Katja[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], and [name_u]Connie[/name_u]. [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] is meant to come from an upper class new yorker family with two younger siblings [name_u]Royce[/name_u] and [name_f]Beverly[/name_f]. I want a name that is elegant and classic, ideally still starting with an M but that isn’t a must.

I thought of [name_f]Maryse[/name_f].

Other suggestions:

[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_f]Myra[/name_f]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_f]Myrna[/name_f]
[name_f]Maxine[/name_f]
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Marlene[/name_f]

[name_f]Non[/name_f] M names:

[name_f]Cheryl[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Regina[/name_f]
[name_f]Francine[/name_f]

Thank you for the help! I kind of like [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and [name_f]Myra[/name_f] but not for this character. I am looking for something that is truly regal (Like her background) while still sounded normal. (Like her) [name_f]Regina[/name_f] however is definitely in the mix and and may end up as the middle name if I stick with [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f].

You could spell it [name_f]Margery[/name_f], as that was the spelling of the eldest daughter of [name_m]Robert[/name_m] the [name_m]Bruce[/name_m], who married [name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] and founded the [name_m]Royal[/name_m] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] line of [name_f]Scotland[/name_f]. You can hardly get more royal than that.

You already have a [name_f]Margret[/name_f] listed – [name_f]Margery[/name_f] is Scottish-[name_m]French[/name_m] for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is the patron saint of [name_f]Scotland[/name_f]. However, [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a rather upper class version – a [name_m]French[/name_m] nickname – for [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]. In the upper class circles that I travelled in as a child, most were standard classic names – with nicknames like Muffy…lol.

[name_u]Marian[/name_u], [name_u]Meredith[/name_u], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Maud[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f].
