[name]Just[/name] looking for opinions on these names. I like [name]Wren[/name] as a nn for [name]Renata[/name], and [name]Liv[/name] would be just [name]Liv[/name], not short for anything. WDYT?
Well, currently, [name]Olivia[/name] _____ [name]Claire[/name] is on my list. I’m considering [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Claire[/name], actually. But I really like just [name]Liv[/name], too. I did a bit of research, and apparently it’s a Scandinavian form of [name]Elizabeth[/name]? I really like it, though. [name]Just[/name] not sure about [name]Olivia[/name] vs. [name]Liv[/name]. I’ve liked [name]Olivia[/name] a lot longer, and [name]Olivia[/name] has more options–[name]Ollie[/name], [name]Olive[/name], [name]Livy[/name], [name]Liv[/name], [name]Via[/name], [name]Livia[/name], etc. [name]Liv[/name] has basically [name]Liv[/name], and [name]Livy[/name]. haha.
Ooooo I like [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Claire[/name].
What about [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name]?
I did not know that baout [name]Liv[/name]. I still like [name]Olivia[/name] more because it has so many options. As a person with a name without many options it kind of sucked because I was always [name]Ashley[/name]. That’s it. Thankfully it fit me so I didn’t need a NN to to make the name fit me but I always like the option just in case you name your daughter something ubber girly and she turns out to be a tomboy and doesn’t want to to be [name]Genevieve[/name] she can go by [name]Gen[/name] or [name]Evie[/name] instead.
lol! That’s so weird! I’ve always been [name]JUST[/name] [name]Ashley[/name], too, and I hated the lack of options! I think that’s why I always like to pick names that are longer that have more nicknames–all but two names on my list have nicknames.
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name] is kinda cool. I dunno, I’m really picky about [name]Olivia[/name] combos! lol. I have been thinking about [name]Lorelei[/name] as a MN, but I dunno what I would pair it with. I know someone else on here was considering [name]Piper[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name], and I just love that to bits, and I really love [name]Piper[/name] right now, but I don’t know if I would use it. I think [name]Piper[/name]'s pretty different from my usual favorites–[name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Liliana[/name], etc…
[name]Renata[/name] - I adore this name, although I think the nn should be [name]Ren[/name], not [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Liv[/name] - nice, although I tend to prefer longer names with nns, so to me [name]Liv[/name] is rather limiting
[name]Daphne[/name] - very pretty
Zelie - sounds too childish
Anatalia (nn [name]Annie[/name]) - pretty, though nmsaa
[name]Piper[/name] (maybe nn [name]Pippa[/name]) – I’ve never been on the [name]Piper[/name] bandwagon personally
[name]Lorelei[/name] - very pretty
It’s nice to meet a fellow [name]Ashley[/name] that had the same problem as me. I was always jealous of people with NN. I actaully tried to get people to call me [name]Emy[/name]. LOL
aimzright4–lol, I thought about trying to get people to call me [name]Ari[/name] (could come from my MN), but I really didn’t want to fight it. If [name]Ash[/name] didn’t catch on, I don’t know how in the world I could have gone by [name]Ari[/name]. lol.
Out of the [name]Lorelei[/name] combos, I like [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Belle[/name], but I’m not sure I’d use either. The more I think about it, the more I love [name]Lorelei[/name], though!
holbs–thanks for your input! If I did use [name]Renata[/name], and the nn [name]Ren[/name]/[name]Wren[/name], I would definitely spell it [name]Wren[/name], to honor my grandmother. The [name]Ren[/name] spelling seems more obvious, but [name]Wren[/name] has more meaning. I’ve never really liked the look of [name]Ren[/name]/[name]Renn[/name], either…
