Renley? Thoughts

Hello berries! So I’ve stumbled across the name Renley, and I know it’s from GoT(never seen it bc I just had no time to watch it), but I know(spoilers!) it’s a male character that dies. But I do prefer it on a girl with the nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u], and Renley [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as the full name. But is it unusable if I haven’t seen the show, and on a girl? Or is too ‘out there’, that I cursed my possible future daughter’s name? Thank you!

It’s a nice name, but I think I prefer it on a boy.

Renley is kind of cute but i think I’d prefer the spelling [name_f]Wrenley[/name_f] or the similar name [name_f]Renee[/name_f]. Renley [name_f]Rose[/name_f] does have an appealing ring to it however

Renly (this spelling was used in the books) was a one of Kings that tried to win the Iron Throne. He dies quickly. One thing to note is that Renly was gay, so it’s important to know if that bothers you (can’t really tell, but it’s big topic all over the world, so…)

I really like Renley! For a girl I do agree Wrenley is a better spelling for sure. Lots of names will be associated with TV characters but I wouldn’t worry as I’ve seen GOT and don’t remeber this character haha. Really love how Wrenley [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds it’s unique but not too out there. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Also could spell it Renleigh

I really like it! Renley [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has a very appealing ring to it.

Him being gay doesn’t necessarily bother me

A friend of mine named her daughter “Wrenna” which I think has a nice ring to it and would flow nicely as “Wrenna [name_f]Rose[/name_f]” as well…just a thought!

Renley [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely, and I like the spelling [name_f]Wrenley[/name_f] too. I don’t think the GoT association is an issue.

I’ve never seen GoT either, and my favourite boys name is [name_m]Ramsey[/name_m] (after a football player.) I know there is a bad character in GoT called [name_m]Ramsay[/name_m] but I don’t care, I love the name!
