Hm. Too much of a place name? Is that going to kick it off the list? A shame, because I love [name]Georgia[/name] with [name]Amelia[/name], and [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Gigi[/name] would be adorable - they share very similar styles in my mind. I guess I just don’t see it as that much of a place name, whereas [name]Savannah[/name] I definitely do. Maybe [name]Georgiana[/name] (as in [name]Georgiana[/name] Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire) would be a compromise?
The only other nickname I can think of for [name]Eleanor[/name] beyond [name]Elle[/name], [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Ella[/name], and [name]Nora[/name] is [name]Nell[/name], which I absolutely love, but it doesn’t really have the same spunky feel that [name]Mia[/name] has, either, so maybe it is no different. [name]Nellie[/name]? Maybe. I still like [name]Georgia[/name] a lot, though…

PS Are you guys into flying or something? [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Earhart[/name] was obviously a pilot, and you mentioned that [name]Jon[/name] liked the fact that [name]Valentina[/name] was a cosmonaut. So, I was thinking about female astronauts, and [name]Sally[/name] Ride came to mind - she was, of course, the first American woman in space (are you American?). Now, maybe you don’t want a [name]Sally[/name], but [name]Sally[/name] is a traditional diminutive of [name]Sarah[/name], and [name]Sarah[/name] goes very well with [name]Amelia[/name] Schwab - you could call her [name]Sally[/name], too, which I actually think is very cute! Or, use [name]Sari[/name], [name]Sadie[/name], [name]Sal[/name], or just [name]Sarah[/name]. Others to consider are [name]Kathryn[/name] (for [name]Kathryn[/name] [name]Sullivan[/name], the first American woman to walk in space), [name]Margaret[/name] (for [name]Margaret[/name] Seddon), and [name]Mae[/name] (for [name]Mae[/name] Jemison, the first African American woman in space). If you are looking for an aviatrix like [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Earhart[/name], you’ve got [name]Elizabeth[/name] (for [name]Elizabeth[/name] “[name]Bessie[/name]” [name]Coleman[/name], the first African American pilot), [name]Jacqueline[/name] (for [name]Jacqueline[/name] [name]Cochran[/name], who was actually born [name]Bessie[/name], considered to be one of the greatest racing pilots), and [name]Harriet[/name] (for [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Quimby[/name], the first woman to gain a pilot’s license in the United States). Others include:
[name]Hanna[/name] (Reitsch) - First woman to pilot a helicopter, [name]German[/name] WWII test pilot.
[name]Katherine[/name] (Stinson) - First woman to fly a loop.
[name]Willa[/name] ([name]Brown[/name]) - First African American woman to earn a commercial pilot’s license.
