Retro or dated?

What do you think of the name [name_f]Georgette[/name_f]? Is it retro and ready for a comeback or is it too dusty?

What are your other favorite names that walk the same fine line?

I find it too dusty, but I think [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] is retro! [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is my favourite [name_m]Georg[/name_m]- name though.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it.

I personally think [name_f]Georgette[/name_f] is ready for a comeback, especially with the popularity of its male counterpart, [name_m]George[/name_m]; however, I don’t know if I can see it becoming massively popular anytime soon. It maintains a lot of its formality and classic charm, which is certainly a draw for some people, but a drawback for others. I think it’s best if you also have a cute nickname lined up, like [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] or [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]. It just needs a good nudge into the 21st century

As far as old feminine forms of traditionally male names go, I think [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is quite cute.

I think other female forms of [name_m]George[/name_m] (such as [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]) are more likely to make a comeback. That being said, I kind of like [name_f]Georgette[/name_f]. It’s got that southern-belle feeling to it!
