So I’ve been wanting to revamp my UC for a while now, but when I was gonna do it a snow storm came and knocked out my power so that was fun. Ok well anyways, I’ve been wanting to take out or change some combos, maybe add some and solidify my style, but I have no idea where to start and need some help.

Some names that I’ve been thinking about changing- Iroh [name_u]Lotus[/name_u] [name_m]Xil[/name_m], [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] [name_u]Frost[/name_u], [name_m]Psalm[/name_m] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] [name_u]Jules[/name_u]. I’ve also been thinking about switch out [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] in [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Leonard[/name_m].
So with my boys I think I like more Gothic [name_f]Victoriana[/name_f] names, mostly in the middle but I like them in general. I have no idea about my girl names though, though I’ve been finding myself gravitating towards more glamorous Latinate names.
So my question are, what do you think needs to be changed or cut from my UC? Are there any names you think I would like or would go well with my UC? What would you call my style when it comes to girl names?

I’d recommend looking through all your combos and picking out the names you love the most then creating a shortlist and rethinking your combos to include just names that you are entirely in love with!
Night, you know I love almost every single combo in your UC!!! But anyway.
Out of your “chopping block” names I think [name_f]Thomasin[/name_f] [name_f]Wendy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] can go— I love [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] [name_f]Juno[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] but it doesn’t feel super “you.”
Meanwhile, I’ve found Iroh [name_u]Lotus[/name_u] [name_m]Xil[/name_m] a little too short? I love it, but next to combos like [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_u]Nightingale[/name_u] it doesn’t really match. (Who am I to talk, though, because I really have both [name_m]Draco[/name_m] [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] [name_u]Cross[/name_u] and [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] [name_u]Cadence[/name_u] in my UC.)
I really, really love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]. It should stay.
Psalm [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] [name_u]Jules[/name_u] could go, but I do like it. It’s less perfectly you than some others, I think?
Your style seems solidly daring/literary with lots of names for the opposite gender than would be expected— looking at [name_m]Draco[/name_m] [name_m]Joaquin[/name_m] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Mavis[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_u]Dean[/name_u], and [name_f]Odelia[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. More specifically, you have lots of longer, frillier girl’s names while your boys are dashing and unexpected, and honestly if I could use “frilly” to describe boy’s names I would (in the best way!!!)
I try so hard to do that! But sometimes you just have a name that just works so well but you’re just not a huge fan of the name itself so you just kinda put it and hope you grow to love it (happened to me with [name_m]Judah[/name_m] [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_f]Swan[/name_f] but I ended up loving [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] in the end).
@katkabet I was thinking the exact same thing with [name_f]Thomasin[/name_f], I love the name but the combo just doesn’t feel me, and the same about Iroh, it feels very short, almost like it’s unfinished. Also thank you! I’m glad you appreciate it. When I first was making combos I tried to stick with boys for boys and girls for girls but it didn’t feel right to me, after a while I just did what I wanted and I felt so much better about my combos.
@EllieWilbury I’m on the same page with [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] and [name_f]Thomasin[/name_f], I love em but they just don’t feel like me. Also with Iroh, I love it but it needs something longer. I think I wanna keep the name [name_m]Psalm[/name_m], but not the combo itself, I just don’t love it like I do others. Also I’ve never thoughts of describing my boy combos as frilly, but I’m kinda diggin it
