Reverie

I love this name very much and want say that as an individual name it is at the least in my top 5. But I feel like she doesn’t fit perfectly with my other top choices and that makes me feel like I can’t use it because I wouldn’t know what to name her siblings(which I know is kind of a stupid point when I’m only expecting my first, but it matters to me.)
So what do you think of [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]? And what would you name [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]'s sister or brother? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think she goes well with any of my current top choices([name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Corisande[/name_f], [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] and Wulfric, [name_m]Mordecai[/name_m], [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_m]Everard[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]?) What would you use as a middle name?

I love [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and think it goes well with Wulfric anf [name_m]Evander[/name_m].

I actually really love the name [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]. I don’t have the guts to use it but it is a very lovely first name.
It is more distinctive than some of the other names like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] but just as uncommon.

[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is lovely - I quite like it. I think it works with all of your other top choices, except maybe [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], which might be a bit too rhymey (I’m not sure?). They all give me a similar vibe - quirky and distinctive, but still somewhat recognizable/familiar.

I like the sound it makes, but not too fond of the name itself. It only makes me think of the word. I’m not against word names, it’s just that reveries are sad in my mind. (Though, I’m sure more people think of pleasant daydreams.) You should use it if you like it so much! [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] match in sound qualities. I also like [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] together because they both have musical connotations.

[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is a nice name! I think all your other name choices go fine with [name_f]Reverie[/name_f].

Thanks to Debussy, I’m a huge fan of [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]. I can see [name_f]Reverie[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_m]Evander[/name_m], and [name_m]Everard[/name_m] as siblings.

Oh, what a great list to choose from! [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is utterly gorgeous. [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] Woolfe, who runs a blog called Girl Gone Child, has twins called [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_f]Boheme[/name_f], with two older children named [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_u]Fable[/name_u], which I think is a really lovely sib-set.

Out of your list, my favourites to be paired with [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] are [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Corisande[/name_f], and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].

I like that although [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] is a bold choice, there’s the accessible nn of Revie (which sounds a little like the rising [name_f]Evie[/name_f]).
Likewise, [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is unusual but has sounds in common with the popular [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], meaning it’s unique, but not eye-brow raising.
[name_f]Corisande[/name_f] is different too (in a good, beautiful sense), with the cute and accessible nn of [name_f]Cora[/name_f] (or even [name_u]Sandy[/name_u]?), so as well as bestowing a beautiful name, you’re also giving options for if your daughter ever wants a name which blends in more with her peers for a time.

I like that [name_m]Evander[/name_m] echoes the v, e and r sounds of [name_f]Reverie[/name_f], so they sound like a cohesive set without being too matchy. This is definitely my favourite of your boys names to go with [name_f]Reverie[/name_f], but second is [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] - I love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], I think it has a classic feel, with the same gently unique quality of [name_f]Reverie[/name_f].

I’m not a fan of [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]. I know it’s the legit spelling but it always looks misspelled to me, like someone’s trying to be cool by taking the -y off the name and making it -ie, like [name_f]Aubrie[/name_f] instead of [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]. It’s also just rev-, like an engine, and -erie, like eerie.

I love [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and I think it goes with all of your choices

I’m not a fan of [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] but I think [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Corisande[/name_f], Wulfric, [name_m]Evander[/name_m] and [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] all sound the best as siblings.

I like [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]! It has such a pretty yet strong sound and is super unique. It reminds me of the french word Rever (which means waking up) so I love that definition. I know it’s a word name, but it doesn’t really sound like a word name, so I think it totally works!
Also, I think all your names work with it.
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] are wonderful!
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] work too!
[name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f], [name_f]Corisande[/name_f] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] work too. [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] has that match-y ending, but if you don’t mind the match-y ness, then it’s fine too.
For boys, they all work.
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] have similar letters but aren’t too similar which makes them good together.
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] are more distinct and work too. (if you’re interested [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] work so well!)
The only boy’s name that doesn’t work is Wulfric. It’s just too unique [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. (But I’m a bit biased because I don’t like the name Wulfric).
Really, all your names work with [name_f]Reverie[/name_f].

Thank you for all the feedback! You have been very helpful again!

I’m glad to see I was alone thinking she wouldn’t fit!
And after thinking about it, the next way I’m going to take in approaching this naming subject will be that: first I’m going to list all my individual favorites and then I’m going to gather names I like with them as middles and as siblings. I think that will help me define my real true favorites better when I get them all in groups of names they could belong into rather than just by themselves because I like to look ahead in big decisions like these… :p;)

Oh and I do love the Girls gone child sibset! (:
