[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m due to give birth in four days and I had my heart set on [name_f]Isla[/name_f] but on telling a nurse at the hospital the name is chosen she laughed and said I shouldn’t use it.
Now I’m so confused if I should or not.
So last name will sound like fry-da. Does it rhyme too much with isla? Help.
That doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. If you love [name_f]Isla[/name_f], go for it!

What an unkind nurse! [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is lovely and if you like it then go for it. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] fry-da is a little rhymey but it’s not a full rhyme ([name_f]Isla[/name_f] fry-la) so I don’t think it’s much of an issue.

I think you should ignore the extremely unkind nurse, and name your baby whatever you love most! [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is beautiful, and as a pp pointed out, its not a true rhyme anyway.
(edited to add: I had a friend growing up whose name was way more of a rhyme and everyone thought it was fine!)

Isla is beautiful! [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t let a horrible nurse talk you out of using it! It goes fine with your last name. Congratulations and best of luck!

I think the name [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t let one unkind nurse sway your decision, it may rhyme a tad but not too much that it would be a horrible choice to go with [name_f]Isla[/name_f]! I say go for it!
