Is everyone else having issues with ads on the mobile version? I just joined, so I’m not it sure if it’s the website or my phone. The ads pop up like 10 seconds after I’ve entered a page (and then a few times after that) and take me back to the top of the page. They slow everything down and make everything lag. Anyone else with this problem?
It’s also making autocorrect change words to completely random things. I don’t think that it’s my phone doing any of this, because it only does this on Nameberry.
I’m having this problem too (only Nameberry), although it’s on a PC and not mobile.
This happens fairly often. I usually don’t use Nameberry on mobile devices, because of this very reason. I tried to use it this morning, on my phone, and encountered the same problems you mentioned. I believe that [name_f]Pam[/name_f] said to screenshot the ad and email it to her, and they might be able to do something about it.
The ads are just something you have to learn to accept about Nameberry. I would recommend only browsing the site with an ad blocker. The ads are intrusive, infuriating, relentless, and make navigating the site on mobile downright impossible. Berries have been complaining about the ads for years but unfortunately it doesn’t seem anything will ever be done to remedy the situation.
Ugh, okay. Well, good to know it’s not just me.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] All – We do take these complaints very seriously and try to address when we have more specific information. As some of you may know, [name_f]EVERY[/name_f] INDIVIDUAL sees different ads and different configurations. There are some widespread differences – US vs. UK, mobile vs. desktop – and then there are individual differences. There are also differences depending on how many times you visit the site and how long you stay on, so you may see more ads on your first visit and fewer ads as you go along. SO we can only try to track down and fix specific ads and specific placements if we know what they are. So please do let us know via the Help button or by email at pam@nameberry.com about ads that are particularly problematic. Thank you.
