River is great for a boy!!
It feels very unisex to me.

A friend of mine named her son [name_u]River[/name_u].

I love [name_u]River[/name_u]! It’s all boy to me personally. It ranked #168 in the US last year for boys (#214 for girls), so there’s going to be plenty of them in years to come. People will be (and are) pretty familiar with the name. I don’t see there’s a practicality issue. I don’t personally know any male [name_u]River[/name_u]’s, but I’m sure there are some who love their name & some who don’t.

River would make a great name for a boy! It’s pretty common for boys, as far as I know. I’ve never met a [name_u]River[/name_u], but I can definitely imagine an adult [name_u]River[/name_u].

The only [name_u]River[/name_u] I know personally is a boy. Well man. I have negative associations due to this person so I won’t comment on the name itself but just to let you know they exist and it wasn’t weird! He’s mid-20’s now.

I know a couple of little boys named [name_u]River[/name_u], and I think it suits them so well! I find [name_u]River[/name_u] to be such a strong, handsome name, so I think it’s a really good choice that will age well.

I think [name_u]River[/name_u] is very handsome on a boy!

I consider [name_u]River[/name_u] more of a masculine than feminine unisex name. And that’s probably because the first time I came across the name was on a boy who was the brother of someone I went to school with. As far as I know, he never recieved any negative comments relating to his name so I think it will be a great name for a boy!

Honestly, I’ve always felt [name_u]River[/name_u] was a more masculine neutral name. I associate it with River [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] the actor!

River is very handsome and feels quite versatile to me

River is unisex to me. I know someone who had a baby boy not so long ago and used [name_u]River[/name_u] as the first name with a traditional masculine middle (think [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Paul[/name_m] etc) which I think worked great as a combo

River is great on a boy!
The oldest male [name_u]River[/name_u] I know is in his twenties, he wears his name well

Yep I know a 5 yo male [name_u]River[/name_u] and a 40 something male [name_u]River[/name_u]! Both wear the name well.

I only know one little boy named [name_u]River[/name_u] who’s 7 I think, but it’s an awesome name for a boy! And if they don’t love it when there older or they need a more “professional” name, they can always go by their middle name!

For me [name_u]River[/name_u] is all boy & I love it :blue_heart:

I think [name_u]River[/name_u] is such a handsome nature name that is in my top 10 for boys along with [name_u]Forest[/name_u]. I think it’s fresh and definitely works as a first name for a boy and I think he can grow into [name_u]River[/name_u] as well. But I have personally never met a [name_u]River[/name_u]

I know of 2 little [name_u]Rivers[/name_u], one boy and one girl. They are both around 3-4 years old. I think it’s a great name that works with either gender.
