I prefer [name_u]River[/name_u] but I think Amélie fits better with your daughter’s name.
I know a lot people see [name_u]River[/name_u] as more of a boy’s name but I actually prefer it on a girl (it’s not masculine to me at all)! To me [name_u]River[/name_u]'s a beautiful, whimsical nature name and Amélie’s just gorgeous, so both are great choices!

I prefer [name_u]River[/name_u], but with sister [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] I’d go with Amélie. I think they fit better stylistically, plus I don’t like the alliteration you get with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_u]River[/name_u]. You could do Amélie [name_u]River[/name_u], I think that would be a really sweet combo.

[name_u]River[/name_u] is 100% masculine in my opinion.
I would go with Amélie too. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_u]River[/name_u] seem really matchy and yet not complementary at the same time- they’re both nature-/earth-related names starting with R, but [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is classic and feminine and [name_u]River[/name_u] is modern and unisex. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and Amélie would make a lovely sibset, and I like the suggestion of Amélie [name_u]River[/name_u] as a combo.

We had already pretty much settled on Amélie (I even set up an email account for her already), and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is [name_m]SET[/name_m] on that name, but I was having a few doubts since [name_u]River[/name_u] is a really neat name too. Thank you for your feedback, everyone, I feel more confident in our choice now. It will be Amélie [name_f]Rose[/name_f] since [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my mother’s middle, and her grandmother’s first name.
