[name_m]Hi[/name_m] as you can tell husband and I love usual names.
[name_m]How[/name_m] does every feel about the name Rizzo? As grease. We love this film.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you think it would age on her? School?

I have to agree with what @jonquils said. I also just don’t think Rizzo has an appealing sound. Reminds me of frizzy and gristle, etc.
I also don’t love the sound, but I really appreciate seeing a new name that I don’t often (ever!) see considered.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Rio[/name_u], like the song?
Or something else funky and a bit edgy, like [name_f]Jinx[/name_f], [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_u]Lux[/name_u], [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f], [name_u]Hero[/name_u], Rumor, Vox…
I have to agree that Rizzo’s sound isn’t my favorite, and it doesn’t strike me as super wearable. I do like @katinka’s suggestions, especially [name_u]Rio[/name_u] and [name_u]Lux[/name_u], as alternatives! I also wonder if something that shares Rizzo’s zippy “z” or fun “o” ending might appeal? [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], [name_f]Zelie[/name_f], [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]/[name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], etc. Or, if it’s the Grease connection you’re after–what about just [name_f]Betty[/name_f]?
Exactly what I was going to say. What about [name_f]Betty[/name_f]/[name_f]Bette[/name_f] as that was her first name? It might be a more subtle, and softer-sounding, nod to the film/character.
Rizzo might not bring up the exact associations you are thinking it will. [name_m]Gonzo[/name_m] from the Muopets is what came to my mind as Rizzo the rat was his sidekick
Grease is my all-time favourite film, but I don’t think I could get behind Rizzo. Maybe as a nickname? Or as PPs have mentioned, using [name_f]Betty[/name_f], because that was the character’s first name.
I like Rizzo but I do recommend it as a nickname for one of the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] names too. Because there is a muppet character called Rizzo too and even though they aren’t popular anymore it might come up in elementary school.
To me it just looks like an Italian surname. It sounds strange as a first name to me, like calling your child [name_m]Ricci[/name_m] or Bianchi.
