Roa/Ora; Yay or Nay?

[name_m]How[/name_m] do you guys feel about the name Roa (ro-uh)?

Alternatively, do you like the name [name_f]Ora[/name_f]?

Currently adding more names to our list!

Not familiar with either of them but they are pretty to say, especially Roa. [name_f]Ora[/name_f] sounds like aura so it feels kinda new age-y if you’re into that. Maybe it’s weird but [name_f]Ora[/name_f] might be too close to ‘oral’ for me :\ She could be teased in high school for that? Not sure though. Still, both are pretty

Nay.
Sorry, they seem incomplete to me. Nicknames maybe…
What do you think if
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f]
[name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
[name_u]Rowen[/name_u]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]

I’m not a big fan of Roa, as it just makes me think ‘rower’ as I say both the same. I absolutely love the sound of [name_f]Ora[/name_f], and I love a lot of -ora names, including my favourite girls’ name. But I dislike the spelling as much as I love the sound. It’s far too close to ‘[name_m]Oral[/name_m]’, in my opinion. Somehow the sound doesn’t remind me of oral at all. Instead I prefer [name_f]Aura[/name_f], said the same way.

They both seem incomplete and better as nicknames to me, sorry. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] would be a great name to get to either or both as a nickname though!

I love [name_f]Ora[/name_f] and I have it on my list as well. I don’t think it’s too close to oral since it really doesn’t sound like it at all. It’s short and sweet and I love the Latin connection and meaning with this spelling rather than [name_f]Aura[/name_f].
I don’t mind Roa, but I like [name_f]Ora[/name_f] better. I feel like [name_f]Ora[/name_f] seems more complete and has more history to it.
