As many of you know I’ve been searching for a boys name that I love for quite some time. [name]Rob[/name]/[name]Robby[/name] is one that has always been a fav though. I think it sounds great with brothers [name]Paul[/name] and [name]Mark[/name] (sisters are [name]Clare[/name] and [name]Katharine[/name] nn [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Katie[/name]).
I’d love some opinions on the name and particularly how it flows with my last name. Are those "t"s a problem? Also what middle name would be awesome. I’d love to use either [name]Lawrence[/name] or [name]Elias[/name] but I’m not sure either of them works well. Perhaps [name]Elias[/name] does?
I was a little surprised to see [name]Robert[/name] ranked as #55 as I’ve met very few young boys named [name]Robert[/name]. I only can think of one who is about 5 and goes by [name]Bobby[/name].
[name]Robert[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] does run together a little bit, but is [name]Robert[/name] is THE name for you, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. A similar option might be [name]Reginald[/name] “[name]Reggie[/name]” [name]Tyson[/name].
[name]Elias[/name] has 3 syllable and [name]Lawrence[/name] has 2, so I would be more apt to use [name]Elias[/name] to get the 2-3-2 flow. [name]Robert[/name] [name]Eli[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] might actually work (despite [name]Eli[/name] being 2 syllables) because the emphasis in [name]Eli[/name] is on the second syllable.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Rob[/name] and [name]Robby[/name] and [name]Robert[/name]. I think it’s OK about the t’s running together. They’re both such familiar names that it’s easy enough to get. I think it’s more an issue for less common names/names that are contrasted by last sound (like [name]Micah[/name] and [name]Michael[/name], [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Noam[/name], [name]Jonah[/name] and [name]Jonas[/name]), and also, like if you were equally in love with [name]Robert[/name] and some other name, sure, maybe you could tip in favor of the other name. But it’s a great name, [name]Robert[/name] [name]Tyson[/name]. Although [name]Robert[/name] [name]Lawrence[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] is 2-2-2, I think it’s a good 2-2-2. [name]Robert[/name] [name]Elias[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] is nice and with initials RET you could also have nn [name]Rhett[/name] if you wanted? [name]Robert[/name] [name]Eli[/name] [name]Tyson[/name] is also nice, although [name]Eli[/name] for me is still stressed on the first syllable, although that long i is more stressed than your average second syllable!
