Rocco? A brother for Sylvie & Cecily

After having two daughters, we found out we are having a boy! We have never really had a list of boy names. Our daughters are [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f].

The only name we are both really liking is [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]. We were thinking of using [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. My only hesitation is if [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] is too Italian. My heritage is primarily [name_m]German[/name_m], and I know technically [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] comes from Germanic sources but is an Italian name. Neither my husband nor I are Italian at all.

I’m basically looking for opinions on if [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] is too Italian, if it works with my daughters’ names, and how it sounds with [name_m]Julian[/name_m] as a middle. Thank you!

I wouldn’t worry about the name being “Italian”. My family background is Scottish/Irish, yet I have a name of [name_m]French[/name_m] origin, which doesn’t bother me.

I do like [name_m]Rocco[/name_m], but I’m not certain if it “fits” well with your other kids names. Either way, [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Julian[/name_m] is lovely.

Suggestions:
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m]
[name_m]Roger[/name_m]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]
[name_m]Richard[/name_m]
[name_m]Rufus[/name_m]
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]

[name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Julian[/name_m] is great, and I don’t think its too Italian. There are millions of [name_f]Bella[/name_f]'s in the world that are not Italian either. I also think [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] compliments your daughters names very well.

I think it’s great! [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] are a wonderfully eclectic and international set — I think they’re fabulous together. [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Julian[/name_m] is a great combo too.

I think it fits wonderfully with your girls i dont think it matters if its italian

I think it is great. International names have become more common and not necessarily tied to a certain culture. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], and [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] make a lovely sibset. If it still niggles at you, you could use a middle name that has a [name_m]German[/name_m] feel.

Thank you all for your help! It is much appreciated and helped ease my mind.
