I think so. I am in [name_f]Italy[/name_f] though, so cannot speak for [name_u]French[/name_u], but I always thought [name_u]Rocco[/name_u] to be one of those Italian names like [name_m]Dario[/name_m], [name_m]Dante[/name_m] etc that work well internationally due to it being known and familiar, easy to write and read. Plus it ranks in [name_u]France[/name_u], so why not? For what I know names ending in -o are having their time right now in [name_u]France[/name_u].

I’m thinking it’d sound more like roh-koh for a French-speaker (rather than rah-koh), but I don’t see it not working! A solid name.

It works, I had a classmate in [name_u]France[/name_u] named [name_u]Rocco[/name_u].
It is quite heavily associated with a pornstar though, so that’s something to consider.
I just checked and it barely makes top 1000 in [name_u]France[/name_u], max was in 1965 with 33 births, there were 3 in 2021.

Actually, that is the original pronunciation, rah-koh is probably the english pronounciation.
I had no idea it could be said rah-koh. I have said and assumed roh-koh, haha

[name_u]France[/name_u] has a fairly large population of ethnic Italian people, so I would be surprised if it’s never used.
It is associated with the porn star throughout Europe though.
