*I’m beginning to love [name_u]Morocco[/name_u] because it reminds me of The Alchemist and how he pursues his personal legend from Spain to [name_u]Morocco[/name_u] to [name_u]Egypt[/name_u]. But worried that it might be too exotic compared to [name_m]Rocco[/name_m].
**[name_f]My[/name_f] firstborn is [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and I wanted to give all our kids a second name that starts with A, hence the [name_m]Aldrich[/name_m]/[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] (other choices were: [name_m]Andreas[/name_m], [name_m]Antonio[/name_m]…).
[name_m]Rocco[/name_m] because it’s a real name (Germanic came derived from the element hrok meaning “rest”). [name_u]Morocco[/name_u] is the name of a country, not a name for a person.
Definitely [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]. Though I like [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] better than [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Aldrich[/name_m]. I find [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] and [name_u]Morocco[/name_u] very mismatched. And as a non American I find it really weird when Americans use other countrys as names which is totally not done in that country and just weird.
[name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] would be my pick. If you have no connection to the country of [name_u]Morocco[/name_u], I wouldn’t use it. It’s not the best place name for a child anyway.
Having second thoughts on [name_u]Morocco[/name_u] for the same reasons you have. Agree on [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] having subtle connection to [name_u]Morocco[/name_u] (best of both worlds). I didn’t realize though that naming someone after a country or place would be offensive to some. When you name your baby after a family member or a person, it is usually to honor that person. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my thought.
Now deciding between [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Aldrich[/name_m] and [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].
[name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Aldrich[/name_m] is perfect! Considering the [name_m]French[/name_m] version of [name_m]Aldrich[/name_m], Aldéric, myself
Definitely [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]. [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Aldrich[/name_m] sounds nice but I think I prefer [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].
I agree with everyone else [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] is the hands down winner.
I think that Adrich is too germanic and I see [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] as Italian and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as much as I love it just a little plain for the cosmopolitan, urbane and charming [name_m]Rocco[/name_m], so I agree with mischa the gorgeous name of [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] would be a standout choice and in sync with [name_m]Rocco[/name_m].
Favourite combo for your son is [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] [name_m]Andreas[/name_m]! I love it!
