Like in UK. R they a bit pretentious? Which do you prefer?
I prefer [name_m]Angelo[/name_m].
[name_m]Roger[/name_m] seems pretty dated to me, so I would go with [name_m]Angelo[/name_m] for sure.
I like [name_m]Roger[/name_m]. Unless you’re Italian or Spanish it’s hard to pull off [name_m]Angelo[/name_m].
I really like [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]! I’ve never met anyone with this name before, so I find it very refreshing. It definitely would age well too imo.
[name_m]Roger[/name_m] is such a lovely name though. I have a sweet spot for it. Classic, vintage, and familiar.

[name_m]Enzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Rocco[/name_m]
[name_u]Andre[/name_u]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Angelo[/name_m] is gorgeous! My first association is the singer [name_f]Adele[/name_f]’s son. I’ve always thought that was such a cool name choice.
[name_m]Roger[/name_m] is extremely dated in the UK. I don’t know any younger than 65.
wow thanks
I like [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]. It might seem a bit pretentious if you don’t have Italian heritage but I know children with names like [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] with no apparent Italian roots so I don’t see why [name_m]Angelo[/name_m] wouldn’t also be usable.
[name_m]Roger[/name_m] sounds very dated to me and there’s also an unpleasant slang association.
I love [name_m]Roger[/name_m]! I see it as classic and vintage, rather than dated, and I am British.
[name_m]Angelo[/name_m] is lovely too, and has a nicer meaning than [name_m]Roger[/name_m], but I wouldn’t use it unless I had Italian heritage. I prefer [name_u]Ange[/name_u] and [name_u]Angel[/name_u].
Well they are very different:
[name_m]Angelo[/name_m] feels international. I think it’s familiar enough that people will pronounce it right. I disagree that you need to be Italian to pull it off. That’s like saying you have to be Swedish or Norwegian to use [name_m]Olaf[/name_m], Dutch to use [name_f]Sanne[/name_f] or [name_m]French[/name_m] to use [name_u]Noel[/name_u].
[name_m]Roger[/name_m]- I say it’s more midcentury than old like [name_m]George[/name_m]. This tends to be the era I’m drawn to, though most might see it as dated and not quite ready for a revive.
I think both are bold choices so either way you’ll get both positive and negative feedback. Maybe make a list of other names you like. If you seem to like more International names use [name_m]Angelo[/name_m], if you like mid century names like [name_u]Dean[/name_u], [name_m]Robert[/name_m] (classic but I mostly know middle age men) [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m], [name_u]Shawn[/name_u] etc…[name_m]Roger[/name_m] is probably the better choice
I vote for [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]!
I like [name_m]Roger[/name_m]. It has a classy sound. [name_m]Angelo[/name_m] sounds very upbeat, but combined with an English last name, it may not be a good fit.
I much prefer [name_m]Roger[/name_m].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] both names, but I’m not sure I could pick a favorite! [name_m]Roger[/name_m] is classy and refined, whereas [name_m]Angelo[/name_m] feels more bright and romantic.
I like [name_m]Roger[/name_m], I think it’s got a rogueish charm
I prefer [name_m]Roger[/name_m]. [name_m]Angelo[/name_m] seems slightly dated to me.
I quite like [name_m]Angelo[/name_m] myself.
[name_m]Roger[/name_m], one of my faves
