Forty days ago I was given the diagnosis that I probably had lymphoma or breast cancer and as an outside chance a benign tumour.
It has been a long wait, lots of doctors have been involved as my case was so unusual, but now the diagnosis is in and I do not have cancer.
The huge unseen, unfelt tumour in my chest has been diagnosed as benign!
Since a recent biopsy I have developed pleurisy a very painful condition, and I am on on 24 hour pain killers.
I have been in hospital for days for endless tests.
I would like to thank all nameberries who have supported me through this difficult time, your prayers, positive thoughts and practical help have been SO very much appreciated.
Soon I will have open chest surgery to remove the tumour therefore I will not be around for a while but will be thinking of you.
Adieu friends,

EDIT, EDIT for all my nameberry friends,[/b]
I have just reread my post re my health issues early last year and after a visit today to the specialist who operated on me I now know that the tumour was indeed a cancer and given more time may have been more invasive and perhaps out of control ie not operable. However, on the good side there is a more aggressive cancer that originates from the thymus gland too and usually by the time it is found the cancer has spread throughout the body, so I am very happy to have avoided that.
Now it is just a matter of time to get back to my old strength and each month that goes by sees me getting stronger. I am very happy now that I understand the condition more and that I am well on the road to recovery. The doctor says that not every cancer is bad.
[name]Hi[/name] [name]Rollo[/name], I’m sorry to hear about your health problems. I’m relieved that it’s not cancer. I know how excruciating it can be emotionally as you waited for tests to come in. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep strong and let us know how you are doing when you’re able to do so.
Wow I’m so glad it was benign! What a relief that part must be. I’m sorry to hear that you’re in pain despite the good news. Here’s to a speedy recovery for you. I will say a Misheberach for you, it’s the Jewish prayer for physical cure, restoration, and strength of body and soul.
