Ronan

Opinions on [name]Ronan[/name] in general and which do you like better, [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name] or [name]James[/name] [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Baker[/name]?

I like [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name]. [name]Ronan[/name] is a wonderful name, it’s on my top ten list right now. It sounds handsome and masculine. I read a great book with a character named [name]Ronan[/name].

[name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name]. I adore [name]Ronan[/name], it kills me that I would never be able to use it because it’s one letter away from my own name. I think it is handsome and wonderful and I can easily picture it on a guy of any age. And it means ‘little-seal’, how cute is that!

I like [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] too

[name]Ronan[/name] is a very handsome and fun name. [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name] is a great combo.

[name]Ronan[/name] is one of our contenders for #2! Needless to say, it’s one of my favourites.

[name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] is a very nice combo

I really like [name]Ronan[/name]. I’d prefer to see [name]James[/name] [name]Ronan[/name] though, because [name]James[/name] is so bland in the middle spot.

[name]Ronan[/name] is a great name. I like [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name] better because I’d (usually) rather see the more interesting/unusual name up front where it’ll be seen and used all the time.

I might not be popular on nameberry for saying this but I don’t like the name [name]Ronan[/name]. I don’t like the sound. I don’t care for the meaning. I don’t think any boy or grown man for that matter would like to named something that meant little seal. That’s just my opinion. Take it or leave it.

[name]James[/name] is stunning, though.

Best of luck!

I like [name]Ronan[/name]! Not enough to use it, but it’s nice.

[name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] gets my vote.

[name]James[/name] [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Baker[/name] rolls off the tongue for me better than [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name]. But I have to think that there are a lot of [name]James[/name] Bakers in the world, and relatively few named [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Baker[/name]. For that reason and because I love [name]Ronan[/name], I’d go with [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name].

I second this!

I like [name]Ronan[/name] quite a lot. I used to hold this high as a name possibility back when I started looking for baby names (until I suddenly and surprisingly became addicted to researching baby names and found so many more I liked significantly more). I still think [name]Ronan[/name] has a really nice sound to it. I am however rather disappointed in it’s meaning, which for some people wouldn’t matter, but for me made me stop considering it.

[name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name]. I like [name]Ronan[/name] the best, plus [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name] reminds me of [name]Jim[/name] and [name]Tammy[/name] [name]Faye[/name] Bakker.

I adore [name]Ronan[/name]…mine is 5 years old. It’s such a great name (biased, of course). Strong, has a history, phonetically simple. I vote for [name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name].

[name]Ronan[/name] is gorgeous! <3 Ronan James

DH says he loves [name]James[/name] as a first name. He hasn’t given me any opinion on [name]Ronan[/name] as a first but he’s normally pretty laid back about middles so I might still get to use it there and call him [name]Ronan[/name].

[name]Ronan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Baker[/name]!

The meaning is more complicated than “little seal”: it refers to the myth of the selkie, a magical seal-woman who fell in love with a human man an bore his children. So [name]Ronan[/name] and the female equivalent Ronait really mean something like “selkie child”. I think the myth/folklore gives the name a fabulous weight.

Ronan is one of my all time favourites. I just think it a wonderful name and ages well. Ronan James Baker sounds a lot better. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the meaning little seal at all seeing as more people are called Cameron and that means crooked nose or Rachel which means ewe which is a girl sheep or Kennedy which means ugly head.
