Rooney Gray or Lennon Gray for a girl

[name_m]Rooney[/name_m] gray or [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] for a girl?!

They both sound very masculine to me but I suppose I prefer [name_m]Rooney[/name_m]

Sorry, I dislike both.

I agree with the “very masculine”, but…
2015 Name Ranking in the USA:
[name_m]Rooney[/name_m] - BOY: not listed
[name_m]Rooney[/name_m] - GIRL: not listed
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u] - BOY: #609
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u] - GIRL: #516

When I hear [name_m]Rooney[/name_m], I think about [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Clooney[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_f]Mara[/name_f], so it’s difficult for me to see it as a girl name. Therefore, my favorite is [name_u]Lennon[/name_u], not because of it’s bigger popularity for girls, but because of the nickname [name_f]Leni[/name_f] which is versatile and feminine.
I quite like [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f] for a girl as well, but only because the only one I know is a female ([name_u]Lennox[/name_u] - BOY: #488; [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] - GIRL: #740).

Of the 2, I prefer [name_u]Lennon[/name_u]. Nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f].

[name_m]Rooney[/name_m] is cute

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Lennon[/name_u]! It’s on my list too! I prefer to spell it [name_m]Lennyn[/name_m] but either way it gets my vote!

I also prefer [name_u]Lennon[/name_u]. I like [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] but I think [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] is more wearable.

In general I lean toward [name_u]Lennon[/name_u], but with the middle name, [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] tips the scale for my vote.

I love [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]! Unisex names are great, and I think this one would wear handsomely on anyone!

I have never heard [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] before, and there just is something about it I find off-putting. It might be the double O’s.

I love [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]!

[name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]! Adorable…

I prefer [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]. [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] sounds like you’re talking about gray linens.

I love [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]! I think that maybe a more feminine middle name would balance it better, but regardless, a lovely name

I dislike both, sorry. They sound very masculine and not gracious on a girl in my opinion. But I’d go with [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] if I had to choose one.

I don’t know where you got the stats, but [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] is ranked #1,795 for boys and #5,120 for girls.
[name_u]Murphy[/name_u] is #1,225 for boys and #2,169 for girls.
[name_f]Gracen[/name_f] is ranked #1,993 for boys.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] had been listed for boys once (like a few years ago).
I did not have time to check for the others, but pretty sure [name_u]Madigan[/name_u] is ranked for girls.

Can’t say I’m a fan of either, but [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] is a bit better than [name_m]Rooney[/name_m].

I’m in favor of choosing a name you love, so ultimately, go with that. But you asked for opinions, so…
I agree that neither name sounds particularly feminine. [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] brings to mind the dictator, [name_m]Rooney[/name_m], an Irish pub. I guess if you wanted [name_u]Lennon[/name_u], you could call her Nonny/Noni. If you went with [name_m]Rooney[/name_m], you could use Roo/[name_u]Rue[/name_u].
