Rooney đź’•

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries,

Curious what your thoughts are on the girl’s name [name_m]Rooney[/name_m]? nn Roo

Thanks, x

I love it for a boy. I’m not a fan of boy names being used on girls.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it on a girl, dislike it a lot on a boy. [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_f]Mara[/name_f] is an awesome association imo, and nn Roo is darling.

Being British, my main association is [name_m]Wayne[/name_m] [name_m]Rooney[/name_m]… not the best association on the planet.

There’s nothing evidently wrong with the name though, outside me being clouded by the footballer!

I think [name_m]Rooney[/name_m]'s rather sweet. Not one I’d use myself, but it’s cute, and it fits in nicely with currently popular trends! Roo is an adorable NN choice, I like it!

I love it. I actually follow a mom on instagram who has a daughter named [name_m]Rooney[/name_m].

A definite yes for me. I personally prefer it on a girl.
And Roo is so cute. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

I like it. It strikes me as a genuinely unisex option.

I think it’s so sweet and adorable! Possibly a guilty pleasure for me though.

I like it for either gender.

Not usually a fan of unisex names but this one I adore on with sex. But it’s my favorite on a girl. I love that it’s another way to get to [name_u]Rue[/name_u]/Roo

I really like it. Actress [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_f]Mara[/name_f] rocks the name!

I actually adore [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] for a girl. The only association I have is actress [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] [name_f]Mara[/name_f], which isn’t a bad one at all. Roo is a very cute nn, makes me think of [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] the Poo <3

It sounds too much like the name [name_m]Boone[/name_m] which I hate so it’s not my favorite, but it’s still a cute name.

We named our male dog [name_m]Rooney[/name_m] 7 years ago and we got a lot of compliments and comparisons. “Like [name_m]Wayne[/name_m] [name_m]Rooney[/name_m]? [name_u]Andy[/name_u] [name_m]Rooney[/name_m]? [name_u]Mickey[/name_u] [name_m]Rooney[/name_m]?” I am glad we used it for our first pup child since I love the name. He does get a lot of nicknames from us though like Roons, Ruiney, Roonzilla and our 2 year old daughter calls him Roogey.

I am not sure any of that helped but there you go haha.
