Which one would you guys choose and why?
Both! I think [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] Alita is a very pretty first/middle combo.
I do favor [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] slightly for the first name which is what I believe you were asking.
Best of luck deciding!
Personally, I would pick [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]. I just don’t like the sound of Alita that much, and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] has a lot of history and beauty behind it.
I would choose [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
I like that it’s a name with history, its floral but has strong sound
I think the sound of Alita/[name_f]Alida[/name_f] is beautiful! One thing to be aware of is the movie that recently came out where the movie and main person is called Alita.
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] is nice too, it’s sweet. I think the reason I’m not liking this so much is because I’m multilingual and it means pink in several of the languages, it’s not exactly my favorite color
(Also, the actress who plays Alita is named [name_f]Rosa[/name_f], what a coincidence!)
Alita [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] is nice. [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] Alita looks good but I think it doesn’t flow as well with the A sounds next to each other
I’d go with Alita. It’s unusual, sharp, and distinctive. I love the sound and the strong vibe.
Oh my gosh please help us, we’re having such a hard time deciding between the two of them
I’d probably pick Alita. Both are very pretty, I just hear Alita far less. (I also just slightly prefer [name_f]Rosita[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosa[/name_f].)
And I agree with another poster that if you use both names Alita [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] sounds great but the a’s right besides each other in [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] Alita kind of blur the names together like Rosalita.
I like the suggestions of [name_f]Rosita[/name_f] and Rosalita. [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] is definitely my favourite of the two.
Alita I first heard in that new Battle [name_u]Angel[/name_u] (is that what it’s called??) film trailer. Not only did I mispronunce it until corrected by a friend (as [name_m]Atila[/name_m]), but I also imagine that charater would be many peoples’ only/most prominant association.
Why not both? Rosalita? it’s a little bit of a mouthful, but has plenty of nickname opportunities.
Something I would just put out there is the idea that Alita might not be just known from the movie. While the blockbuster movie has just come out, it’s worth remembering that the Battle [name_u]Angel[/name_u] Alita manga is an extremely popular series worldwide dating back to the 1990s, with many spinoffs.
Point is: it’s definitely more famous than just the blockbuster movie, especially among fans of manga. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if manga readers haven’t read the Battle [name_u]Angel[/name_u] series it’s likely they would recognize the name because it’s a pretty famous, well known franchise.
I like the idea of [name_f]Rosita[/name_f] or Rosalita with the nickname of Alita, but ultimately, it’s up to you whether or not association with a pretty unique character will bother you.
I love [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]; it is gorgeous but I have never met anyone with that name.
