We want to call our daughter [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] but want her to have a more formal option. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f]? Her middle name will most likely be [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].
- [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
- [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
I love the lyrical [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]

I have a grandmother, aunt and cousin with the name [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. It’s a very pretty name and has more of a kick to it than just plain [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for a middle name than a full name. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband thinks its funny we have so many in our family when the name isnt so common everywhere else.

I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]! It’s such a poetical, song-like name and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] has a beautiful flow. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is unfortunately becoming so common and I think because it’s one syllable, it doesn’t flow as well with [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. Still, it’s a great pick if you end up choosing it. Congratulations!

I like both names, but I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] has a better flow than the choppy [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].

This is really hard! I love the simple, sweet and romantic [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. It is one of my favorite names of all time for a girl. But at the same time I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] too. It’s so sophisticated and elegant!
I usually lean towards longer names with cute nicknames and in this case, you can combine the two options you love and create the perfect name! So the best vote (and the easiest vote) for me is… [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]!
If I were you, I would go with [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/Rosie! I adore that [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] share the same ending. And you can always call her [name_f]Rose[/name_f] if you want! However, the vice-versa would be strange because I don’t think you can get [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a first name.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is a gorgeous middle name
It flows well with both names.
