My husband and I are expecting our first baby together and we’ve decided on [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]! We’re having a hard time with middle names, though. My stepson is 6 but has been in my life since he was 2 and has lived with us 100% of the time since we married when he was 3. His name is [name_f]Journey[/name_f] [name_m]Stone[/name_m] - [name_f]Journey[/name_f] because his mother liked it and [name_m]Stone[/name_m] because it is a family name on husband’s side.
It’s kind of earthy and so I’m not sure what to do with [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. I don’t want it to be formal and stuffy and for their names to seem like they don’t flow.
So far :
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (only because my grandmother is [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] - afraid it’s too formal all together)
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (husband’s pick)
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
Any ideas? I’m at a loss We will be calling her [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. Our last name rhymes with “meal”.
I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. You can also do [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] as a suggestion
Actually, with your last name I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] flows the best. Although I’m realizing as I’m typing, that may just be because my name is E.mily [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (1 syllable last name), so my ears are used to it. I think back-to-back one syllable names are not ideal for flow, but that said [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is GORGEOUS! That’s my favorite. The rest are all really nice too. I wouldn’t worry too much about their names going together. Honestly I wouldn’t put [name_f]Journey[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] together in my mind anyway, and the middle names get used much less. But [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is the earthiest of your choices (and lovely).
