Rosalind, Delphine or Esmeralda?

My mum has gifted me with the opportunity to name my incoming baby sister. She loves uncommon and beautiful names, so I made a list of desired names after I spent some time rigorously searching. [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] and [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] are my top three choices. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] were on the list - they were sweet names too, however they didn’t fit with our surname, Fawley. I myself have an unusual name, [name_f]Pandora[/name_f]. I am completely stuck on which name to pick, though I am sort of routing for [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]. Any help? Which name sounds best: [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] Fawley, [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] Fawley or [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] Fawley?

[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is my favourite, it’s beautiful.

[name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] is equally as beautiful but [name_f]Esme[/name_f] seems to be rising in popularity so it puts me of a little.

I really like all three names but prefer [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]. I’d say [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] go best with the surname.

That’s a tough choice. All are so beautiful! I’m partial to all the [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-names so [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is probably my favorite. [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is lovely too though, so if you find yourself hoping for that one you should go for it!

Wow! I absolutely love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], and my favourite name is [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], so I obviously think you have an awesome name! Right now I’m really liking the sound of [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] & [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], so I’d say [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]'s my favourite here. You and your mum have a seriously amazing taste in names!

Thank you guys for your nice and helpful comments, the due date for my sibling is still far off so I have plenty of time to decide.
If anyone has more unique names then feel free to share them!

I like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] the most but the nicknames she’d most likely end up with ([name_f]Rosie[/name_f]) don’t really go with your surname, therefore I prefer [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] all three are lovely choices though.

I really like [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]

What about Azurine, or [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]?

I love [name_f]Esmerelda[/name_f] especially with the nickname [name_f]Esme[/name_f], however if you are (not so) secretly hoping for [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], I would say that is the one! It is a beautiful name.

Other suggestions: (I have to admit that some of these are on my guilty pleasures list!)

[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Elysia[/name_f]
[name_f]Kalila[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]
[name_f]Keziah[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]

Good luck on choosing a name, although it sounds like whichever name you decide on your baby sister will be a very lucky girl with a very beautiful name.

I’m partial towards [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] would be a gorgeous nickname! [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is also pretty

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is beautiful! I would choose that, then [name_f]Delphine[/name_f].

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]! Beautiful, unusual yet familiar, has great nicknames, and is Shakespearian!

I love [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]! It’s pretty, unusual, and has both an interesting history and multiple intriguing meanings/associations: the oracle at [name_f]Delphi[/name_f], the “womb of the earth,” dolphins… I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] as well, for its association with the protagonist of As You Like It, the strongest female [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] character, as well as the scientist [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m], but [name_f]Ros[/name_f]- names are trendy right now ([name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f], etc.) and she would just blend in with those, making it not as distinctive. [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] is just too over-the-top for my taste and doesn’t sound nice with the surname because of awkwardly repeating sounds ([name_f]EsmerALda[/name_f] FAWLey).
