[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is gorgeous and I think [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosy[/name_f] go together so beautifully! [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is what we are naming our daughter, so I’m definitely biased toward it and think it’d be really nice, but I voted for [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] because I like the flow of it a little bit better, and think it matches the tone of [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]. Both are beautiful though!

I prefer the flow of [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. I love the combination of the feminine, romantic [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] with the strong, grounded [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is a great counterpart to [name_m]Ad[/name_m]@ as well. I love the name [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] too, but I give the edge to [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] in this instance.

Congrats! I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. It seems to match the substantial, serious vibe of [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]. I also like the flow, with the shared “l” sound really tying the two names together. Elegant and classic. If you are still looking around, I like [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f]/[name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] in the middle.

@loveonthelake - thanks for your input! And congrats on your upcoming little [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]! It’s just the sweetest name in the world.

@erin beth - that’s a good point, re [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. I suppose it does compliment [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] a little better

@danakatherine - you’ve exactly pin pointed my style. I want my daughter(s) to have names with some serious substance! I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] as well, but I wonder if it’s too long to pair with [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], especially when [name_f]Jane[/name_f]'s name is on the shorter side?

For those of you voting “neither”, what else would you suggest?

[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is simply wonderful :slight_smile:

I know a little girl named [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Rozy[/name_f]. I think it’s a lovely, classic, pretty, grounded name. I love the spunkiness of [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], as well, though! A tough decision.

For what it’s worth, [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is my favorite of all the names you’ve been considering for [name_f]Jane[/name_f]'s sister.

Thanks for your input, everyone! I’m not ready to choose yet, but it’s been helpful.

I’m surprised that [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] & [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ended up tying in the poll.

Thoughts on [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]? Too much? Too [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]?

Both are great! However i voted for [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] has I think it has the edge - I think the sounds of [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] complement [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] more, and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] makes the very solid and traditional [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] more fun and interesting. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] seems much the same kind of name as [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] so seems more predictable with it and adds less interest in my mind. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] is kind of unexpected and fun while being streamlined and strong - I think [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] has the same strength and interest.
