(Previously I was thinking along the lines of [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] (not even that keen on [name_f]Philippa[/name_f], it just works!), [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Astraea[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] ______, [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Araluen[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], etc.)
What are your thoughts? Any way I could improve these combos?
Also, [name_f]Swan[/name_f] and [name_f]Snow[/name_f] seem to be morphing into almost automatic middles for me, as they seem to go with a lot of names and bring a lot of character too. [name_m]Hence[/name_m] I would like to hear some new 2nd middle ideas to go alongside [name_f]Venetia[/name_f].
[name_u]Vale[/name_u] could be nice, I hadn’t considered that. [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] [name_u]Vale[/name_u]? [name_f]Twila[/name_f] goes with [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] but doesn’t really fit with ‘my’ [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]. [name_u]Poe[/name_u]'s too boyish, [name_f]Honora[/name_f]'s actually quite nice, and [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] - well, again, nice with [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], but doesn’t seem right for my combo. [name_f]Alviria[/name_f]'s a new one for me.
Thank you.
I love [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] and [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], but can’t seem to work them into combos! [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is pretty, another I hadn’t particularly considered, and [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] is a possibility. [name_f]Veronica[/name_f], too, though I’ve never found it that appealing; it goes well with [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Mariella[/name_f] are all lovely, again it’s just the combo side! [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] ____ [name_f]Mariella[/name_f] / [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Mariella[/name_f] ______ is beautiful though, so thank you!
Anyone else? I’m looking for
Thoughts on the combos mentioned in my original post, and perhaps slight tweaks/changes to one of the middles. E.g. [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] _____ Coppelia rather than [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] Coppelia, and “I prefer [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] Coppelia [name_f]Iris[/name_f] because _______”.
Suggestions for a second middle to complete [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] ______ / [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] _______ [name_f]Venetia[/name_f].
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] [name_f]Swan[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous! It sounds magical and a bit princessy, almost fantastical. [name_u]Love[/name_u] seeing someone else who appreciates [name_f]Venetia[/name_f]- I came across it in a book awhile ago and have really liked it since, but almost never see it on Nameberry. [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Astraea[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f] (not usually a fan of [name_f]Fay[/name_f], but like how it means fairy and it really works here) also have that lovely vintage-romantic vibe to me.
You seem to like fanciful names as the first middle and short names, especially word names, as a second middle. Not very good at making two-middle combos right off the bat, but here are some suggestions:
Thank you @bonfireazalea! This is exactly the type of feedback I was looking for
I really like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]! [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] could potentially work too - [name_u]Skye[/name_u] has quite a different, modern, surfer-girl vibe to me, but that combo could change that. I also like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] with [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] a lot. [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is definitely growing on me.
[name_f]Lux[/name_f], [name_f]Moon[/name_f], [name_f]Noor[/name_f], [name_f]Plum[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] - none of them are quite working for me with [name_f]Venetia[/name_f], but they’re definitely the same ‘type’ as [name_f]Swan[/name_f] and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and my beloved [name_f]Snow[/name_f] I do rather like [name_f]Plum[/name_f], but [name_f]Venetia[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] sounds like a type of fruit! Could grow on me though, it’s just a previous consideration I’ve discarded, at least for now. I tend to be on the fence about [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] - as a nn I really like it, but I don’t feel it’s quite right as a stand-alone middle. ?
