I know this is technically pronounced [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-mund, but I love the sound of [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-a-mund instead.
Can I get away with pronouncing it that way?

I’ve always said it as [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-a-mund, I’m sure you could get away with it, I’ve commonly heard [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-a-mund more than [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-mund.
You probably could get away with [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-a-mund. I’ve said [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-a-mund for years because I have a book from my childhood called [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], about a fictional family tree of women who were named after the rosa mundi, a certain variety of rose.
I’ve never heard it pronounced [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-mund, only [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-uh-mund (which I think is beautiful).
I’ve never heard roz-mund. I’ve heard roz-uh-mund, like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is roz-uh-lind, but never 2 syllables.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]-a-mund is evocative of rosa mundi the antique striped rose. I sort of love it for that. But roz-a-mund is, I’ve been told (but kind of hope it isn’t so black-and-white) the correct pronunciation.
I wouldn’t do 2 syllables at all.
I’ve only ever heard it pronounced [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-uh-mund, and I like that pronunciation the best.
I say it roz-uh-mund, but wouldn’t bat an eyelid at rose-uh-mund. It’s sophisticated, chic, charmingly clunky, and solid.
