Rosamund

Would [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] always get pronounced Rahz-uh-mund? I love it pronounced [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-uh-mund but I’m worried that she would spend her whole life correcting people on how she says her name. Is it a reasonable option to say [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-uh-mund in the US or am I just kidding myself?

I posted a thread about [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] a little while ago. I too naturally say [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-mund. The general opinion is if you live in the US most people would say it like [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-mund. So I wouldn’t worry:)

Sorry for the repeat! I thought I saw one not too long ago, but when I searched the forums I couldn’t find it lol. I’m glad at least someone else sees [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-mund as the more natural pronunciation

No problem:). Btw, I have always loved your name choices:)

I’ve never heard [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] said with the rahz sound. The only time I’ve heard Rahz is with [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Roslyn[/name_f], etc.

Hahaha i totally had a thread like this a few weeks ago!

I love [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], but hate the [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-sound.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] go with the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sound that you like (that’s what I’m going to do too). I personally think its such a rare name in the US that people will say [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-mund anyway.

Congrats on your great taste in names
