OK – so I may be over thinking this, but I need some objective advice.
If you met two siblings named [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Rose[/name], what would your first thought be?
Would it be “Titanic?”
Be honest.

Never even occuring to me, tbh. [name]Leo[/name]'s an actor and [name]Rose[/name] is a character. If both names were more unusual, maybe, but I wouldn’t have thought most people’s first thought would be Titanic, but I could be wrong.
Thank you hanniekit! Super helpful.
It’s just that one person said “oh, like Titanic” when I told her, and now I can’t get it out of my head But I love them!
My first thought was that I liked those names together. I did notice that they both have stong ‘o’ sounds. Titanic never occured to me.
I was just going to say “Titanic” just from the title of the thread. Sorry
I have to say that my firt thought was Titanic - even before I read your whole post when I just read the thread title.
That being said, I love both names and I don’t really think it’s a big deal.
Exactly this.
They are both good names though… it might just be subtle enough to be pulled off
When I first saw the title, I thought that it was such a cute sibset. Then when I read it the second time, I will admit, I thought of Titanic. I didn’t see the movie when it came out; I actually only saw it about 5 years ago for the first time. But my sister saw it maybe five or six times in theaters and she probably would have noticed the connection right away. That being said, I still think it’s really cute, and if I met children with those names then I wouldn’t care about the association. The names go well together. I wouldn’t put [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] together though.
Yep! I thought Titanic the instant I saw the subject to your forum post!! They’re nice names separately but together I will always think of the movie.
Titanic didn’t even cross my mind but I did wrinkle up my nose a little bit because I just don’t like how they sound however.
But for your main concern, no, I only thought of it after you mentioned it.
They’re wonderful together. I didn’t think of Titanic until I read your post.
Yep this was my thoughts exactly. And as another poster mentioned, [name]Leo[/name] is a person while [name]Rose[/name] is a character, so it’s not as strong of an association as if you used [name]Jack[/name] & [name]Rose[/name]
Titanic crossed my mind as soon as I saw the title of your post…but the names go really well together and they’re not too unique, so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Titanic came to mind right away, but I don’t think it’s bad. I think they’re lovely together, I highly suggest using it.
Yeah, Titanic was the first thought that crossed my mind, too.
I’m was a big fan of Titanic, so that was my immediate thought as soon as I saw the title to your thread. I don’t think that’s bad though. The names are both wonderful choices, and it wouldn’t stop me from choosing them if those were my favorite names. I agree about it not being as bad as [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Rose[/name].
I love both names and didn’t think of titanic when I saw the post. However … it only takes one person to mention it and no one will forget.
[name]Leo[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] is a gorgeous sibset. And I’d never have thought titanic.
Initial thought was Titanic. A friend named her daughter S!erra [name]Rose[/name] D@wson, and I instantly thought Titanic.
I immediately thought Titanic too.
[name]Leo[/name] & [name]Rose[/name], [name]Leonardo[/name] & [name]Rose[/name] would do the same.
[name]Leonard[/name] & [name]Rose[/name], [name]Leo[/name] & [name]Rosalie[/name] ect don’t strike me as Titanicy though.
