Rose as a NN for Rowan?

Is it too far off? What other nicknames can you think of for [name]Rowan[/name]?

[name]Edit[/name]: Guess I should’ve explained more…
I love the name [name]Rowan[/name], but cannot find a nickname for it. Since it is also used as a boy’s name, I want something ultra feminine. So the question is…since they both start off with the same sound, can [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Rosie[/name] be a reasonable nickname for [name]Rowan[/name], or are they too different?

My first reaction is that it doesn’t work. To me [name]Rose[/name] says “name” and [name]Rosie[/name] says “nickname.” [name]Rosie[/name] isn’t intuitive from [name]Rowan[/name] and it has the same number of syllables.

All I can think of for [name]Rowan[/name] is [name]Roe[/name].

I can’t think of any real nn for [name]Rowan[/name], but have you considered [name]Roisin[/name] if you like the nn [name]Rose[/name]?

I’d personally prefer [name]Rowena[/name] vs. [name]Rowan[/name].

[name]Rose[/name] isn’t really a nickname for [name]Rowan[/name]. I guess it’s tolerable, but I’d use [name]Ro[/name] or something as a nn. If you like the name [name]Rose[/name], you could use that instead of [name]Rowan[/name].

I think it works and it is very cute. I know a [name]Rowan[/name] but her full name is [name]Maria[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] and just saying [name]Rowan[/name] is shorter i really like it.
