Rose, Edie or Margot!?

These are all amazing options. Thank you all for your time and advice!

I’m beginning to sway more between [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Edie[/name_f].

With [name_f]Edie[/name_f], I’d like a fuller name on her BC just to give her some choice when she is older.
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] I just don’t like but I’ve come across the name ‘Elodie’ which I feel could work nicely.

Update: the hubs has agreed on ‘Eden’ but we will call her [name_f]Edie[/name_f]!

Now for middle names  Such a relief!

[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] was on my shortlist for my girl. I love it but my mom said it read too much like maggot? idk. I personally still love it and so does my partner.

I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f]! [name_f]Rose[/name_f] I also adore but it is a bit simple and I see it more as a middle name. I do like [name_f]Edie[/name_f], but whenever I hear it, I always think of ED which could stand for e@ting dis0rd3r or even worse, er3ctil3 dy5functi0n. I knew an [name_f]Edith[/name_f] nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f] growing up but she was constantly teased for being called [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and I remember whenever someone asked for her name, she’d say [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and they would look so weirded out by it and sneer. It was really downgrading to her self esteem so eventually she just went by [name_f]Edith[/name_f]. I don’t want your daughter to have to go through that, so as much as you love the name [name_f]Edie[/name_f], for her sake I’d say to not use it. [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] are also beautiful alternatives and it’s clear how they honor your grandmother! Good luck with your names!

Update: I didn’t notice that you’ve already considered [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] whoops :face_with_hand_over_mouth: but I’m glad that you’re going with [name_u]Eden[/name_u] for the full name. I think that [name_u]Eden[/name_u] will be a good name to go by and then [name_f]Edie[/name_f] as a pet name and not a permanent nickname. I think [name_f]Edie[/name_f] should be to [name_u]Eden[/name_u] as [name_f]Em[/name_f] is to [name_f]Emma[/name_f], not said all the time but more as a cute name from friends and family. I like [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], and [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]!

I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] but I really prefer it spelled [name_f]Margo[/name_f]. Also I thing [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] is adorable for a nickname. I also am no a huge fan of [name_f]Edith[/name_f]. I think [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] could be short for [name_u]Eden[/name_u], or [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Delilah[/name_f].
