I’ve always loved the name [name]Rose[/name]; I love its simplicity and how feminine it is, even though it is so short. ([name]Rose[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name], [name]Rose[/name] [name]Francesca[/name], [name]Rose[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] are my favourites at the moment). However, recently I’ve really grown fond of [name]Rosemary[/name]. I find it both girly and strong, and there is still the cute nn [name]Rosie[/name]. But I do find it a little too ‘old-fashioned’ as such, but that may be because I haven’t heard of anyone named [name]Rosemary[/name] for quite a while, especially a new baby.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] also, but can’t find a middle name I love with it, and am not sure would have the confidence to use it. (Also, Twilight associations!)
So, what do you think? [name]Rose[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name] or [name]Rosemary[/name]? Any MNs that you can think of?
[name]Rose[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], or [name]Rosemary[/name]? That’s a tough one! There isn’t one [name]Rose[/name] name that I don’t love. [name]Rose[/name] is #352 as of '09 and #1 as a middle name, [name]Rosalie[/name] has just entered the US Top 1000 at #840, and [name]Rosemary[/name] is #742. However, I’m almost positive that [name]Rosalie[/name]'s rise comes from Twilight, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she got even more popular. My suggestion is to use [name]Rosalie[/name] or [name]Rosemary[/name] as the first name and nickname her [name]Rose[/name]. So, [name]Rosalie[/name] or [name]Rosemary[/name]? Which is better with your surname?
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] is really pretty! Great name!
I’m not a huge fan of [name]Rosalie[/name], and the Twilight association is making it feel a bit tired to me at the moment, and [name]Rosemary[/name] reminds me of the herb and my friend’s mom. Actually, my favorite [name]Rose[/name] name is [name]Rosalind[/name], followed by [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Rosanna[/name]! [name]Do[/name] you like either [name]Rosalind[/name] or [name]Rosanna[/name]?
I’m a [name]Rosa[/name]-- another variation… Out of [name]Rose[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name], and [name]Rosalie[/name], I think I prefer [name]Rose[/name], but [name]Rosemary[/name] is very close behind. [name]Rosemary[/name] has a lot of nickname options ([name]Rose[/name], [name]Rosie[/name], [name]Romy[/name]), and does have more substance. I know of a 16 year old [name]Rosemary[/name] and a baby [name]Rosemary[/name], and it doesn’t seem ‘old’ at all.
I wouldn’t do [name]Rosalie[/name], even though it is a lovely name-- it has a definite Twilight connection, and recently appeared out of nowhere at #840 on the national list.
