Rose- variants?

I love, love love [name]Rose[/name] names! I love the name [name]Rose[/name] by itself, but it doesn’t flow very well with many middle names so I’m looking for variants that could lead to the nickname [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rosie[/name]. I adore [name]Rosemary[/name], but don’t like the connection to [name]Rosemary[/name]'s [name]Baby[/name]. (WDYT? Is this connection really that strong?) So I’m turning to the lovely berries to provide your favorite [name]Rose[/name] names. Throw them at me! -[name]Freya[/name]

I love [name]Rose[/name], and I think tons of middle names work with it-- longer, frillier ones sound best ([name]Rose[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Rose[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name], etc). I think [name]Rosemary[/name] is lovely, and I’ve never heard of [name]Rosemary[/name]'s [name]Baby[/name]… I don’t think it’s an issue, but maybe I’m the only one. Plus I know an adorable baby [name]Rosemary[/name]. Besides those, there’s also my name, [name]Rosa[/name], which I like. I also really like [name]Rosalind[/name], but not so much the ‘roz’ pronunciation, as opposed to ‘rosa-lind’. Along the same lines, there’s [name]Rosamund[/name] or [name]Rosamond[/name]. [name]Rosalie[/name] is lovely, though it may be too Twilight, but [name]Rosalia[/name] is a lovely alternative, which brings to mind [name]Rosaria[/name]. And some of the more smushy ones with questionable legitimacy are intriguing: [name]Rosellen[/name], Roseliese, [name]Rosella[/name], [name]Rosetta[/name], [name]Rosina[/name], [name]Rosabelle[/name]. Roswitha and Rohesia are other obscure variants, but they don’t have the same appeal as other [name]Rose[/name] names, I think. [name]Roisin[/name] is the Irish version, pronounced ‘ro-sheen’ (I think).

My favorite [name]Rose[/name] names are [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Rosemary[/name], but there are tons-- I’m sure you’ll find the right one eventually.

Thanks! I still think I love [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Rosemary[/name] best, too, but I’m intrigued by [name]Rosalia[/name]. Too weird without the Spanish/Italian background? [name]Rosemary[/name]'s [name]Baby[/name] is a horror film starring [name]Mia[/name] Farrow about a woman who gives birth to the Antichrist. :frowning: That’s my only drawback for the name. I love the frilly middle idea for [name]Rose[/name]! Thanks again!

I love [name]Rose[/name] names! The [name]Rosemary[/name]'s [name]Baby[/name] connection isn’t too strong for me - I doubt that everyone from your daughter’s generation will immediately think of it, and I didn’t know what it was until someone recently mentioned it…
