Rosebeth vs Roseann?

Okay berries firstly thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it you guys are lovely :purple_heart:

I’ve sort of fallen in love with [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f] I just think the name is beautiful. But I’m thinking of having the hyphenated surname of Oryang-Ramage so that’s a long name! I also want to honour my grandma [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] & her paternal grandma [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I’m thinking [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Oryang-Ramage is WAY to long it’s just OTT. Also I do love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] as well and again feel that [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Oryang-Ramage is long and feels like a tongue twister with the repeated l sounds. Therefore thinking of the honour name being a smash up of there names :thinking::thinking:

So I’ve considered Rosebeth pronouncing rose and [name_f]Beth[/name_f] together I think this name is pretty really whimsical but concerned that it may be silly as it doesn’t have legitimate origins.

I’ve also considered [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] again I think it’s pretty I like that it has legitimate origins essentially you can search [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] and it comes up #bonus!

What’s your favourite? Thank you

I wanted to suggest [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] as I find that really stunning!!! Its a legitimate name and has a few letters of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]- although I know that’s a stretch but I still think it would work as an honor name.

Otherwise maybe [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Rosana[/name_f]? [name_f]Rosana[/name_f]/Rosanna just feels more complete and lovelier than [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] for me.

Rosebeth is kinda growing on me though! [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Rosebeth is definitely a combo that you can warm up to.

While I like [name_f]Lillia[/name_f], paired with a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] middle name just feels too flowery so I vote for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].

Rosebeth is gorgeous! It feels legitimate, even if it doesn’t come up when searched. [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] doesn’t flow as nicely and looks more incomplete.

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Rosebeth and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] Rosebeth are magnificent names.

I feel like there is a user on here whose name is Rosebeth, so you most certainly won’t be the first to use that smoosh.

I really think Rosebeth has a pretty flow! I don’t find it any less legitimate than [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] because both are literally just a smoosh of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with a classic name. [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] is just more commonly used. I personally prefer Rosebeth. It just has a sweeter, fresher sound to me. and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Rosebeth is honestly just the sweetest!! <3

However, with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] I am kind of thinking [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] has a better flow…though I can’t put my finger on why. Still, I do think [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] Rosebeth works.

My twin sister’s name is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and my middle name is [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! For a future child, I would love to use both of our names in the middle slot and I have debated between Rosebeth and [name_f]Roseann[/name_f]. Both are pretty, but I think Rosebeth sounds fresher and less “dusty” than [name_f]Roseann[/name_f]. However, I am concerned with Rosebeth not being a “real” name and not having “proper” origins, so I’ve considered using [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] instead. With that being said, even though Rosebeth doesn’t exist in the same way as [name_f]Roseann[/name_f], I don’t think that really matters because it does have an origin story, it’s a combination of two names that are very important to you. Also, Rosebeth does sound like a legitimate name to me, so I think it passes regardless.

As for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], I much prefer [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] because of how many other “[name_f]Lily[/name_f]” names are rising in popularity.

I like [name_f]Roseann[/name_f]!

Rosebeth makes me think of “rose breath” which I guess isn’t really that bad… but it’s not my favorite. I also like the sound of [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but that is double the number of syllables even if its only one more letter.

Rosebeth reminds me of [name_f]Rosegold[/name_f]. Pretty names.

Roseann to me is only [name_f]Roseann[/name_f] (e?) [name_m]Barr[/name_m] so that’s a no for me.

It’s perfect with [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]

I think I’m behind, you’ve decided on [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]? :partying_face::smiley:

Roseanne seems like a baby boomer name name to me but Rosebeth is new to me and very sweet.

@12queen thank you for your feedback it’s really appreciated

@Rachelhaydenberk I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] it’s such a pretty name but I feel that it’s too much for a stretch to honour [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I do like [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f] but I just want to directly honour [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and I wonder whether [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is to much of a stretch. I agree though [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f] is prettier than [name_f]Roseann[/name_f]. Maybe Rosebeth is the way forward?

@libertykate thank you for your feedback

@Estrela thank you I do love [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] but it doesn’t honour her paternal Grandma which is what I really want to do. I’m glad you like Rosebeth :rose:

@marylavender thank you!

Rosebeth has really grown on me!!!

I was also thinking you could be [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] - kinda simple and understated with the hyphenated last name! But Rosebeth is really sticking now for me!!
