I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]! I prefer it over [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] as it sounds bit more modern to me.
I don’t think either would automatically be nn [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- it seems more natural with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] but I might expect [name_f]Ros[/name_f] as nn for [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. Either could be nn [name_f]Rose[/name_f] if you did like that. Another would be [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
They are both very nice! I personally wouldn’t use them, and they’re not my favorites, but I do like them. Not sure about what middles I would use for them, I’ll have to look around. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a possible nickname for both, but there are also nicknames like [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosa[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] (for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]) or [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] (for [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]) that could be used too. I don’t really have a preference for either name, as I like both and I’m not very good at making decisions between two things I like.
Those are literally two of my favourite names. [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-based names are a serious obsession (you can spot [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] in my signature and honestly you’re all lucky that [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] aren’t thrown in there too!).
I gotta say [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is the name I have picked out for the girl I’m going to adopt someday.
I love O middle names. [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].
Also other names that begin with vowels. [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Agathe[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. I think the D sound at the end of [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] makes it a good name to pick up the vowel sound in the middle name.
I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is a likely nickname for both [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. Maybe a little less likely for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] might be another possible nn for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], and [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] or [name_f]Roz[/name_f] (RAWZ not [name_f]ROSE[/name_f]) for [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], if you’re opposed to the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] nn.
Both are so pretty, I see why your having a hard time! As for which one I like more, I think it depends on the day, haha. Sorry I’m not much help with that!
I would be tempted to call both of them [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but if the parents didn’t want me to call her that, I wouldn’t.
@adelina_sophia - my favourite from your list is [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]. It’s so spunky!
@mariposa90 and lindseylovestheatre!!! - thanks for sharing your thoughts on my [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] vs [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] dilemma
@drasticgame - [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] & [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] are lovely, thanks!
@miss.jenny - that actually helps a lot! I love both these names, but I’m not a huge fan of how [name_f]Rose[/name_f] on it’s own sounds with the last name. So, I might veto both these names in the general consensus is that the nn [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is inevitable.
@18_25 - that’s a creative idea. Reminds me of [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f], which reminds me of [name_u]Marian[/name_u], which is already on my list!
@mirandirosie - [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is really sweet! I like it, but my husband isn’t a huge fan
