Rosemary

Hello. I’ve posted a couple of times about my shortlist and have had some great feedback, but this name just came up as a new possibility. Does anyone have any impressions of the name? I am particularly interested in US or UK impressions as that is where my child will grow up. We still don’t yet know the sex, but I am obviously hoping for a girl! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m from the UK and I know a few Rosemarys, of all ages! I think it’s a lovely name, botanical and vintage at the same time and seems kind of timeless. Most Rosemarys I know go by [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] day to day :rose:

I love Rosemary! Elegant, timeless, and very sweet, with the pretty botanical connection.

I would note that as MaisieDee said, she’d be quite likely to be called Rosie (at least in the UK) which is quite a common nickname, if that’s something that bothers you. Just something to keep in mind.

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is so pretty! I think of a sweet old lady or a young woman from 100 years ago, but it would fit a child well, too. It’s very feminine, but in a warm, approachable way, not an over-the-top princess-y way.

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is sweet - a little cosy, a little feisty too
