No, I’m not planning to use this name, I was just curious what people think of it. It was my great grandfather’s name and it’s the middle name of several of my other relatives. I could see it being popular again now if not for the [name]Roswell[/name] New Mexico connection.
I think it sounds nice enough, but there are some names that will just never get away from an infamous tie, of which [name]Roswell[/name] is one. (Off the top of my head,I’d also include [name]Jezebel[/name] and [name]Elvis[/name].) So I think it’d be too much to use it as a first name, but it could work as a middle name.

If not for the connection to NM and aliens, yes, I think it has the kind of sounds that people would like in a name now. But, I’m glad you’re not thinking of using it, because there’s no getting away from the NM/aliens thing.
