Round 2 - Irene vs Landry

Hey guys,
I posted a few weeks back wanting opinions on [name_f]Irene[/name_f] vs [name_f]Olive[/name_f], well we have taken [name_f]Olive[/name_f] out of the running. We are now at [name_f]Irene[/name_f] (my pick) & [name_u]Landry[/name_u] (hubs pick), both are family names. Siblings are [name_u]Perry[/name_u] [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. What are y’all thoughts & opinions between these two?

Also, these are our family name options for middles but I’m open to any fresh ideas.

[name_f]Irene[/name_f] is such a beautiful name with a beautiful meaning. I think it would be the perfect choice and definitely unique. I apologize, but [name_u]Landry[/name_u] doesn’t look or sound very pleasant to me, it only reminds me of laundry! [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Marcelle[/name_f] would sound so elegant and pretty as well as [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Cecile[/name_f]. Could [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] perhaps work for you guys as a sort of mash up between [name_f]Cecile[/name_f], [name_f]Marcelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f]? [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] is on my list for my baby and is one of my favorite names in the world.

Laundry?..

No need to apologize I understand peoples association with “laundry”. [name_u]Landry[/name_u] is a common surname in our area so it doesn’t seem as out of place here. [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] & [name_f]Marcelle[/name_f] are also my two faves for middles. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is actually off the table bc my sister named her daughter [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] after our mother [name_f]Cecile[/name_f]. I adore the name [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] and would have loved to use it in the first name spot but my sister beat me to it.

Have you thought of [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] or [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] instead? Or perhaps [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] in the middle spot? [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] is indeed a gorgeous name, a shame your sister beat you to it, but great that it’s your niece’s name!

My sister actually used [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] so I think [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] is still safe to use in the middle name spot. [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is beautiful and does flow well with [name_f]Irene[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Irene[/name_f]. [name_u]Landry[/name_u] is just an unpleasant name to me that doesn’t seem to fit on a girl. I do like [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] and my favorite is [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]- I think that one is lovely and fits very nicely with your other names.

I think [name_f]Irene[/name_f] flows a lot better with your children’s names. [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] or [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] really stand out to me.
