Rowen, Finn or.......?

My top two picks for baby boy #2 are:
[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] (or Rhoen) [name_m]Dayne[/name_m]
[name_m]Finnick[/name_m] Waydan

Middle name Waydan or [name_m]Dayne[/name_m] to honor my husband and father ([name_m]Wayne[/name_m] and [name_m]Daniel[/name_m])

I also like:
[name_m]Oakes[/name_m]
[name_m]Rhett[/name_m]
[name_m]Rawlins[/name_m]

Open to new suggestions or combos!!! I love [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] but am a fan of more masculine names. I love the spelling Rhoen to add masculinity but worry people will have trouble pronouncing it.

My only hesitation with [name_m]Finnick[/name_m] is I don’t like the name “[name_u]Nick[/name_u]”. But I haven’t fallen in love with other [name_u]Finn[/name_u] names ([name_u]Finley[/name_u], [name_m]Fintan[/name_m], [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m], [name_m]Finbar[/name_m]) and I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the nick-name [name_u]Finn[/name_u]!

[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] [name_m]Dayne[/name_m] is very handsome! [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] combination! I’m not keen on the Y in [name_m]Dayne[/name_m] (prefer [name_u]Dane[/name_u]), but that’s my taste.

[name_m]Finnick[/name_m] is not my cup of tea… I much prefer [name_u]Finley[/name_u]… however, if you love it, I say go for it. I think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is a much more likely NN than [name_u]Nick[/name_u] - I wouldn’t worry about that.

[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] [name_m]Dayne[/name_m] is my favorite.

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] is a complete name with a long and illustrious history all its own. If you love [name_u]Finn[/name_u], name your baby [name_u]Finn[/name_u]! It’s like [name_m]John[/name_m] or [name_m]Mark[/name_m] and does NOT need to be extended to [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] or [name_m]Markus[/name_m] to be a “real” name

[name_u]Rowen[/name_u] is a fabulous choice! I really love the outdoorsy feel of it. I also second @pam’s thoughts on [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. Totally works as a standalone. [name_m]Rawlins[/name_m] and [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] are very handsome as well. I am not much help narrowing down, sorry!

I wanted to toss out a couple more [name_u]Finn[/name_u] options (but just [name_u]Finn[/name_u] completely works too!) ~

[name_m]Finlo[/name_m]
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
[name_m]Fingal[/name_m]

Or maybe, as slightly more “masculine” alternatives to [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] ~

[name_m]Ronan[/name_m]
[name_m]Roman[/name_m]
[name_u]Rohan[/name_u]
[name_m]Bowen[/name_m]

Good luck

@mummacat92 Thank you!! I may agree with removing the y to make just [name_u]Dane[/name_u]. This still honors both my hubby and dad!

@tfzolghadr those name recommendations are right up my alley!!! Thank you so much - more to think about now.

@[name_f]Pam[/name_f] thank you for this suggestion!! I’m not sure why I felt as though [name_u]Finn[/name_u] needed to be “short” for another name. I love it!

I prefer the [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] spelling. Alternatives: [name_m]Cohen[/name_m]/[name_m]Coen[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_u]Corbin[/name_u], [name_m]Brody[/name_m], [name_m]Orson[/name_m]

[name_m]Finnick[/name_m] is okay but if you want alternatives, Serephin/[name_f]Seraphin[/name_f]/Serefin/[name_m]Serafin[/name_m] nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u], Thorfinn nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] nn [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m] nn [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
