Roxana with nn Roxy

What do you think of the name [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]? It’s been growing on me lately. I think the nickname [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] is really cute as well! Do you like the variant [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] better or less?

[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] is really cute and spunky, and I love the nickname [name_f]Roxy[/name_f]. I do prefer the variant [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f], and I think that’s because it almost feels like a rockstar name. Either one is very pretty.

[name_f]Roxy[/name_f] is so cute and spunky! I went to school with one from [name_f]Romania[/name_f] and I always thought she wore it well. [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] and [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] don’t do much for me, though, but someone on here has [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] nn [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] on their list and I think that’s brilliant! I also like [name_f]Roxelana[/name_f] reasonably well, though I’d pick [name_f]Lana[/name_f] over [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] myself. [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] is a nn I like for someone else, but it doesn’t really feel like “me”. Good luck!

I would normally pick the more tailored variant, in this case, [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] but I prefer [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]. [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] feels too in your face showbiz and overtly sexy for me (not that anything wrong with being overly sexy, just prefer if you can pick and choose, lol), [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] is sensual too but has a few other notes in there too. I also think it’s more balanced as a name. [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] feels so front heavy.

I do think I’d personally cheat for [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] as suggested above - eg [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - but I’d love to meet a [name_f]Roxana[/name_f].

[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] is my preference! I think there’s less of a stigma of being “overtly sexy”, as @/EloiseT mentioned, and I love the spunky, bright sound!

I love [name_f]Roxy[/name_f]! And Roxana’s gorgeous. I love the dawn association, how it’s classic, yet never felt popular, trendy, or dated to any particular era. I do slightly prefer [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] to [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] but I like them both - [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] feels dark and a little fantastical while [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] feels more midcentury, spunky, and upbeat.

I think I prefer ‘just Roxy’ to [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] or [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]. [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] reads a tiny bit like a medicine to me. [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] is very glitzy, but perhaps a little dated-sounding.

I love the name [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] “Roxy” and I like it better then [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]. I think I like [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] better then [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] actually. I think [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] is the sweet spot of familiar but not common, with a lovely meaning and a couple cute nicknames. [name_m]You[/name_m] can also use the nickname [name_f]Xanna[/name_f].
