Rozelle ? Yes or no?

[name_m]How[/name_m] do you like this name? Please, need opinions on the name [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f] or alternate spelling Roselle. Is it a name that you like? Comment below.

I don’t think I’d do Rose-Elle or Rose FN Elle MN. Or any such. Don’t like Rosella nearly as much. Or most others, I’m considering Rosalie Vesper Faith, so Rosalie instead of Roselle/Rozelle, but Rozelle is my first choice and guilty pleasure. But when push comes to shove and the reaction to the name isn’t good then I will opt for Rosalie.

I really love this name. It seems to be quite rare, which kind of baffles me considering it is the combination of Rose and Elle, two popular and beloved names. I like the sound. I think it is both pretty and strong. Though others I have mentioned it to, disagree.

So I have a few questions about your opinions.

What kind of person would you imagine with it?

Is it elegant and sound of higher class society?

And finally, what would you rate this name on a scale of 1 to 10 ?

I’m already not really into [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- names, but the ‘z’ is really off putting.

[name_f]Rozelle[/name_f] 2/10
[name_f]Roselle[/name_f] 5/10

Thanks for your honesty and input.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the sound but not the look…not sure how to fix it either…maybe Reauxelle? Not great, I know…but different…just not a fan of the [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] or [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f] spelling. Apart from that small gripe, a lovely sounding name  Also love [name_f]Giselle[/name_f]…

I picture someone in their late 60s with a strong Queens (NY) accent. Not my favorite. [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] is better. Or [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]? [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]?

I like the sound of it, partly because I really like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and love [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. The look of it though throws me off. I do not like the Z at all. [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] looks ok, but reminds me of [name_f]Roshelle[/name_f]. What about hyphenated [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-[name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] FN, [name_f]Elle[/name_f] MN? I want to like [name_f]Roselle[/name_f], but I don’t. I attend a large university in the south, so I could picture the name on all walks of life. From a southern sorority girl to a hotel maid, I can picture it. For some reason it doesn’t seem like a name that holds a future in a higher education. I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-[name_f]Elle[/name_f] and even better [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] do so much more justice for the name. I actually [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. I picture [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] on a lovely brunette woman. She loves adventure, hipster, soft, sophisticated, educated, and ready to take on the world.

When I see/hear [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f], all I think of is the suburb/area of [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] here in Australia called [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f]! So to me it’s indelibly a place - for example the [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f] markets, etc.

I think [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] works a lot better with the softer ‘s’ sound and looks more natural, just like the word ‘rose’. It’s not really my taste, but if you love it I think it is indeed an usual and pretty choice.

I like [name_f]Roselle[/name_f], but I’m not a fan of [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f]. I feel bad saying this, but I think it reads (not sounds) more like a stripper than “high society.” [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is also nice from above.

I like the sound, and I want to love it as a fn, but I am sorry I cannot. I think [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] looks better than [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f], but even so, it looks a bit made up. I know you do not want to do [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f], but I think that is the best way to achieve that sound. I do absolutely adore [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].

I do not think [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] or [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f] looks higher class society or elegant. I do think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] could, but since you are not interested in splitting it up, I will not waste more time on the matter.

Sorry to be negative.

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is gorgeous though.

I like [name_f]Roselle[/name_f]. I can see how it has a little bit of a “nosy middle-aged neighbor” vibe to it, but I think it’s striking where [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is just sweet. [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f] looks more invented or cheaper for some reason, even though I’m usually a sucker for a “z.” [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is pretty, but I don’t like it when names that are meant to flow together are separated, especially when both parts are so short. [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] feel like very different names to me, and I would say them differently.

I don’t mind the name, but I don’t like the Z spelling. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is better in my opinion

I prefer [name_f]Roselle[/name_f] - I think you’re more likely to get the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - elle pronunciation. With [name_f]Rozelle[/name_f] I’d worry that people would say Rohz - elle, which isn’t nearly as pretty!

Dislike the z. Prefer [name_f]Rosella[/name_f]
