🌹 Ruby Rose

:rose:

I’m falling in love with this name again. What are your thoughts on [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?

I heard that there is an actress named this even though I have never seen anything with her in it. Is she very famous? Is it still usable?

Which one would you pick?

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]

Thanks!

These three names are nearly completely equal for me in every way. I might like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] as a fn slightly more than [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. And I do LOVE fn/mn alliteration or mn/ln alliteration (but not fn/ln alliteration at all).

So, [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] by a hair.

I find the combo a bit cutesy, but definitely still usable! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite would be [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].

It’s a nice combo but it definitely makes me think of the actress [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (from [name_u]Orange[/name_u] is the [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_m]Black[/name_m], Batwoman, etc)

It’s definitely the actress for me I’m afraid. I also find [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds an awful lot like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u], another actress! :see_no_evil: so I would choose [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f].

I don’t know who the actress is, but I’m not the best person to ask since I’m pretty out of the loop with all that stuff.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is sweet! I know someone named [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] _____ [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (1st middle very similar to hope) maybe you’d like to put [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Lily[/name_f] in the name as wel.

I know there’s the actress - that would be my first thought, however, I also wouldn’t assume she was named after her, since [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is such a common middle

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is bubbly and charming - I like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] best though

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is too tied to the actress for me, an I also think it is a bit descriptive sounding. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is so lovely!

ruby rose is very associated with the actor for me, and, at least within my circle, i’d consider her very well known. it’s still usable, and i wouldn’t assume that a baby was named after her, but i would definitely find it a little funny. besides that, i find ruby rose as a combo a little too red-red - i think i would prefer ruby jane or ruby hope ! of your three, my favourite is lily hope <3

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very descriptive. I don’t love it but both are established names at least. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is cute. I don’t know the actress

I didn’t even think about the actress. She is famous, but [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is trending and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is such a classic. I think it’s totally okey to use it. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is beautiful. While [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is such a pretty name, the actress is seriously badass (gorgeous woman, but def not girly).

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] for me! I do like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], she’s a sweet name, but [name_f]Lily[/name_f] has so much more significance for me, I’d pick [name_f]Lily[/name_f] over [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] any day, personally. Plus, [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] has a more saucy flair while [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is more sweet to me - which I also like in a name. I also am not crazy that [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is so wordy… but it is a nice name! I have heard of the actress but I have no idea what she’s known for, so I can’t really comment to that.

Good luck!

I love both [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] individually, but the combo is very strongly tied to the actress for me. I definitely prefer [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] over [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is my favorite of your middle name options- I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be gorgeous!

I actually like the combo and think it sounds very nice, but there are two celebrities named Ruby/Rubi [name_f]Rose[/name_f] so those associations are very strong for me unfortunately.

I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a little cutesy/has [name_f]Disney[/name_f] princess vibes, but still usable. Of your choices, I’d pick [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].

I love all three of your combos! [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] & [name_f]Lily[/name_f] are both favourites of mine.
The pairing “Ruby Rose” does make me think of the actress, but middle names aren’t generally heard that often, so I think you could still use [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].
Can’t go wrong with either of the Lily-combos - they’re about equal for me!
