It’s not my personal style, but I do like the medieval, ethereal imagery I get from it.
I’ve never thought that rune could be a name before but it’s actually a pretty cool name

This is a guilty pleasure for me! I really like it as an offbeat boy’s name. It feels cool but grounded.
It’s been growing on me lately! I think it definitely has potential 
sort of in the vein of [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] or [name_m]Ruben[/name_m] but a little bit more ethereal.

I love it! Since Rue/Roux/Roo is very popular and trendy right now, I feel like [name_u]Rune[/name_u] is good for someone who likes that sound but wants something more unique.
[name_m]Gilmore[/name_m] Girls destroyed this name for me, but I would’ve been okay with it if I’d known it before I watched GG.
[name_u]Rune[/name_u] sometimes reminds me of the word ruin(ed) but usually I can overlook that due to the lovely grounded, handsome vibe it gives me.

Rune’s really been growing on me recently. It feels both strong and historical and ethereal/magical. I literally imagine glowing runes when I hear it, which is cool!

I love unique and interesting word names, and I’m also a practitioner of Norse-flavored paganism, so this name has been on and off my shortlist for ages. I think it’s fantastic and would love to see it used more!
I LOVE [name_u]Rune[/name_u]! I discovered in the book A [name_u]Man[/name_u] Called Ove and absolutely adore it. I currently have the combo [name_u]Rune[/name_u] [name_u]Avery[/name_u].
I know this is an old thread, but I’ve been thinking about this name lately as a possible nickname / variation for [name_m]Bruno[/name_m]. I’ve always loved the name [name_u]Rune[/name_u], but until recently thought of it more as a girls name. Now that I’ve discovered it’s appeal as a boy name, I’m not going back.
