Rupert R? Sounds funny?

So I [name]ADORE[/name] the name [name]Rupert[/name]. I really love it but our surname starts with R and rhymes with crest-fall. My husband thinks that sounds ridiculous but since I love the name so much and we have not yet been blessed with a bun in the oven I have been trying to ignore it. But does it sound weird? I think deep down I know it does, but I really love the name :frowning:

I am also going to have to remove [name]Alexander[/name] from my lists too because my niece (who will be arriving in the next few weeks) is to be names [name]Alexis[/name].

So what do you think about [name]Rupert[/name] and what suggestions do you have to add to our list?
Middle name choices are Stark, [name]Charles[/name] or [name]Harris[/name]

It does sound a little StoryBook like, but if you love it I wouldn’t suggest settling for something you don’t.

I actually kind of like alliteration. [name]Rupert[/name] Rest-fall sounds nice to me. All of the names in your signature are lovely and would go well with your last name, if you’re worried about [name]Rupert[/name].

I know several people who have a first and surname beginning with the same letter and I always like the way their names sound - I love [name]Rupert[/name] too so I say ‘go for it!’
