Rupinder [roo-[name_u]PEN[/name_u]-dər] is a Hindi name meaning “greatest beauty”. It comes from the Sanskrit रूप (rupa) which means “beauty” and is combined with the Hindu god [name_f]Indra[/name_f]'s name which here means “greatest”. [name_f]Indra[/name_f] is a Hindu deity and his mythology is similar to other Indo-European deities such as [name_m]Jupiter[/name_m], [name_m]Thor[/name_m], and [name_m]Zeus[/name_m].
Rupinder is my current crush and I’ve been mulling over the idea of it as a middle name for a few days. What do you think of Rupinder? Which, if any, of the combos below do you like? Suggestions?
I’ve never heard this name, but I get fierce, lady leader vibes from it and I love that.
I really like the flow of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] Rupinder and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] Rupinder. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] because I’m a sucker for a good alliteration, and the others because I think the vowel beginnings balance the consonant plentiful Rupinder.
Rupinder is beautiful. Whether it’s usable or not depends on your location and religious beliefs, but I believe it’s a lovely name with a more or less intuitive pronunciation.
I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] Rupinder and [name_f]Viola[/name_f] Rupinder. Would you consider [name_f]Ada[/name_f] Rupinder?
@fearlessfirefly: Rupinder is a unisex name but I prefer it for a girl so you’re not wrong in saying it sounds like a boy’s name!
@moonstone: Rupinder is purely a crush. I can’t see myself using it and I know for a fact my partner would never go for it. I appreciate it and it’s beauty though!
I hadn’t considered [name_f]Ada[/name_f] Rupinder. It’s a sweet combo.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] Rupinder is lovely!! [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] are great too
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Faye[/name_f] Rupinder and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] Rupinder came to mind
I’m not that keen on Rupinder, I think it sounds like a mix of reindeer and [name_m]Rudolph[/name_m] on instinct. However, I definitely think it could work as a middle.
@ruanne: [name_f]Iris[/name_f] Rupinder is sweet! Thank you.
@adelina_sophia: The presumption about heritage and ethnicity is a reason for Rupinder being purely a crush for me and in the middle at that.
I love your suggestion of [name_f]Alba[/name_f] Rupinder. I can never seem to find an [name_f]Alba[/name_f] combo that works for me. I also enjoy [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Mila[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Lola[/name_f] Rupinder, [name_f]Isla[/name_f] Rupinder, and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] Rupinder.
The sound of Rupinder is soooo familiar to me that I’m certain that I have recently watched a TV series or a movie with a Rupinder on it. However, I have this feeling that “Rupinder” was a male… is it an unisex name? Oh well, I know nothing about Hindi names.
My favorite combos are [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] Rupinder and [name_f]Viola[/name_f] Rupinder - the middle name is consonant-heavy so I prefer first names with long vowel sounds. My only suggestions are [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] Rupinder and [name_f]Kaya[/name_f] Rupinder.
